Stefon Diggs is still out there, and that alone keeps the conversation alive around one of the AFC’s most interesting wide receiver storylines.
For a stretch, Diggs and Josh Allen formed one of the league’s most dangerous quarterback-receiver pairings, helping keep the Buffalo Bills in the playoff mix year after year. But that relationship ended badly, with Diggs eventually forcing Buffalo’s hand and pushing the team to move on.
Now, with Diggs still unsigned, SportsNaut’s Andrew Buller-Russ sees a path that would send him right back into Bills territory in the most irritating way possible: by landing with the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo’s playoff nemesis.
“The Chiefs should make a run at Stefon Diggs”
“No. 2?
Well, no one on the Chiefs right now, aside from Travis Kelce, has produced better than Diggs has,” Buller-Russ wrote. “In other words, there’s a chance Diggs could go to Kansas City and emerge as the go-to option for Patrick Mahomes.
Of course, Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice could change that outlook, but they haven’t established themselves as bona fide playmakers throughout the course of a full season yet. Diggs has, several times.”
The idea isn’t coming out of nowhere. Diggs already spent last season with the New England Patriots, another AFC East rival of Buffalo, and even in a down year by his standards, he still cleared 1,000 receiving yards.
There are obvious complications. Diggs may not have a lot of runway left in the league, and the off-field scandals surrounding him won’t make the market any easier.
But Kansas City also has a clear football case to make. The Chiefs missed the playoffs and don’t have many dependable answers in the passing game right now. At this point in the offseason, that leaves them with limited options - and Diggs remains one of the few names that could change the picture quickly.

DJ Moore Is Giving Bills Fans Real Hope At WR1 Again
The Bills made a clear bet on DJ Moore when they sent a second-round pick to Chicago, and the early returns from OTAs are giving Buffalo a reason to feel better about it. Moore is back with offensive coordinator Joe Brady, and the expectation is that he will step into the kind of featured role the offense has been looking for as Josh Allen gets another proven target on the perimeter.
What has stood out to beat reporter Sal Capaccio is Moores all-around game, the sort of receiver skill set Buffalo has been chasing since its last true top option. Capaccios view was that Moore can stress defenses in multiple ways, which is why the fit feels so natural in this offense and why the Bills are already talking about him like a player who can change the shape of the passing game. Bills Camp Suddenly Has More At Stake Than Fans Expected
A Buffalo Rumblings poll says the most intriguing spot in Bills camp right now is the interior defensive line, and that tracks with how much is changing around the roster under a new coaching system. The group sits at the center of a defense that is being asked to look different, and it is drawing attention not just because of who is already in place, but because of how many moving parts could reshape the depth chart before the preseason settles anything.
Wide receiver, inside linebacker and outside linebacker also showed up as positions worth watching, which only adds to the sense that camp will have more competition than usual. The offensive line still matters plenty, especially with the left guard job drawing interest, and there is also a lingering question at kicker that keeps one more layer of uncertainty on the board as the Bills open camp and start sorting out who fits where. Alec Anderson Faces A Defining Bills Battle Up Front
Buffalos offensive line picture is familiar in one sense and unsettled in another as the Bills head into 2026 with four of five starters back and only David Edwards gone from the group that opened last season. The vacancy at left guard has naturally pushed Alec Anderson into the conversation, and that makes sense for a player who has already shown he can move around the line and stay available, appearing in every game last season while handling work at multiple spots.
Alec Andersons value is tied to the same thing that could complicate his path: Buffalo likes options, and there are several linemen in the mix for center and guard work. Austin Corbett, Sedrick Van Pran-Granger and Connor McGovern are part of that broader competition, so Andersons versatility could end up being a selling point or just one more variable in a crowded battle up front.
