Pat McAfee is bringing his show to Buffalo’s regular-season home opener, and he’s doing it from one of the new stadium’s most eye-catching spots.
The Buffalo Bills will open their home schedule at Highmark Stadium in Week 2 on September 17 against the Detroit Lions, with the game set for Thursday Night Football. That primetime slot already guarantees a national audience, but the Bills are making sure the buildup gets plenty of attention too.
While interviewing Josh Allen on Monday, McAfee said The Pat McAfee Show will be on-site for the game day broadcast. He added that the show will air from The Family Circle, right near the bison statues.

McAfee and his co-hosts have been talking up the bison statues for months, so the location fits the way they’ve been building toward this moment. There are three statues in The Family Circle: a 22-foot-tall, 23-foot-long cow that weighs about 23,000 pounds, a 27-foot-tall, 29-foot-long bull, and a 12-foot-tall, 12-foot-long calf.
The connection between McAfee and Buffalo has been growing for a while. He has developed relationships with Brandon Beane, Josh Allen and other members of the organization in recent years, and the show’s appearance at Highmark Stadium only adds another layer to the opener’s buildup.
The Pat McAfee Show had its most-watched year on ESPN in 2025, and McAfee has also become a regular presence across multiple network shows.
