Lamar Jackson isn’t wasting any energy on the NFL’s latest Top 100 list.
The Ravens quarterback landed at No. 69 in the league’s rolling rankings, a steep drop from where he stood a year ago. But Jackson made it clear he’s not getting caught up in it, telling Ben Hall of 105.7 The Fan, “I play football, I don't care about rankings,”
The NFL started unveiling its Top 100 players on June 22, and the countdown is set to run through September 4. So far, the league has revealed players ranked from No. 41 through No. 100.
Jackson’s placement this year looks especially jarring next to last season, when he checked in at No. 2 behind Saquon Barkley. That slide comes after a 2024 campaign in which Jackson threw for 2,549 yards and 21 touchdowns in 13 games, though knee, toe, and ankle injuries clearly took a toll.
Even with those numbers, the injuries have chipped away at how the league is viewing him, despite Jackson still being one of the top quarterbacks in football.

Baltimore, meanwhile, finished 8-9 and second in the AFC North, missing the playoffs for the first time since 2021.
Jackson is also expected to sign a lucrative contract extension with the Ravens, but for now he’s playing out the final two years of his current deal. He’s set to make $52 million per year, and his no-tag clause gives him added leverage, including the ability to avoid signing an extension and a path toward free agency in 2028.
For Jackson, though, the message is simple: the rankings can wait.
