Josh Allen sits at the top of the 2026 NFL MVP board heading into preseason, with Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow right behind him.
It’s an early look at the futures market, but the names near the top are the ones fans would expect. The latest odds feature 23 players shorter than 100-1 to win NFL MVP, and every one of them is a quarterback.
That lines up with the way this award has gone in recent years. The last non-quarterback to take home MVP was Adrian Peterson in 2012, when he entered the season at +4000. A handful of non-QBs do show up on the board now - Bijan Robinson at +10000, Jahmyr Gibbs at +12000, and Puka Nacua and Christian McCaffrey both at +15000 - but a quarterback winning the trophy would be anything but a surprise.
Allen is the current favorite and is priced at +550 to win his second MVP. He was +850 in the preseason when he won the award two years ago.
Jackson is trying to add a third MVP to his resume after winning the honor in 2019 at +4000 and again in 2023 at +1400. Mahomes is also in the mix, looking for a third of his own after previous wins in 2018 at +3525 and 2022 at +800.
Stafford, meanwhile, is sitting at 14-1 after last season’s breakthrough. If he were to win again, he’d become the first repeat MVP since Aaron Rodgers in 2020 and 2021.

Bills Linebacker Depth Suddenly Has A New Camp Question
The Bills shuffled their linebacker room before a training camp practice, signing Otis Reese IV and moving Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles to injured reserve.
