Josh Allen Responds After Viral Broncos Video of Wife Resurfaces Online

As Josh Allen gears up for a high-stakes showdown with Denver, a viral throwback of his wife in Broncos gear adds a personal twist to the playoff buildup.

Just days before a high-stakes playoff clash between the Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos, a photo of Hailee Steinfeld-yes, that Hailee Steinfeld, now married to Bills quarterback Josh Allen-has resurfaced and sent NFL Twitter into a frenzy. The image? Steinfeld rocking a Denver Broncos jacket and throwing up a dab at a stadium, circa 2016.

The timing? Not exactly ideal for Bills Mafia.

The photo, originally posted in February 2016, came right after the Broncos secured their Super Bowl 50 win over the Carolina Panthers, a 24-10 defensive clinic led by Von Miller and a dominant Denver front. Along with the photo, a video clip of Steinfeld dancing in that same Broncos gear has also made the rounds again, just as Allen and the Bills prepare to face that very team in the divisional round.

So how did Allen react to his wife's past fandom going viral? According to CBS Sports’ Tracy Wolfson, he took it all in stride.

“Asked Josh about this pic and he told me he had no idea it was floating around,” Wolfson tweeted. “Laughed and said she was probably paid to be there.

And that he definitely wasn’t going to bring it up at home.”

Smart move, Josh.

Allen and Steinfeld have been in the public eye since they went Instagram official back in July 2024. The couple’s relationship has moved quickly-they got engaged in November and tied the knot in March 2025. Just last month, they announced they’re expecting their first child together.

But while the internet has had its fun with the throwback photo, Allen’s focus is clearly locked in on the task at hand: leading the Bills to their first Super Bowl appearance during his tenure. Coming off a gritty 27-24 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in the wild-card round, Allen once again showed why he was named the 2024 NFL MVP. He completed 28 of 35 passes for 273 yards and accounted for three total touchdowns, including the game-winner with just over a minute left.

That late-game poise is exactly what Buffalo will need this weekend. The Broncos, led by head coach Sean Payton, have found their rhythm late in the season and are no easy out. Former NFL defensive end Cam Jordan weighed in on ESPN’s First Take, noting that the stars might finally be aligning for Allen to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

“In my mind, I was like, if there is a year to win it-no Joe Burrow, no Lamar, no Pat Mahomes-the AFC that normally runs the playoffs isn’t here,” Jordan said. “This is the year. With that being said, now you have to have the Denver Broncos conversation.”

And he's right. The Bills may be peaking at the perfect time, but the Broncos aren't just a feel-good story-they're a real threat.

Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+, and with Allen playing some of the best football of his career, all eyes will be on Orchard Park this Sunday.

As for the viral photo? Let’s just say Bills fans will probably forgive Steinfeld-if Allen keeps doing what he’s doing on the field.
