Josh Allen Is Already Climbing One Of Footballs Hottest New Lists

Collectors and investors are flocking to the 2026 Bowman Football release, as rare Tom Brady cards set new sales records and redefine the market for short-printed sports collectibles.

Collectors didn’t waste much time zeroing in on the big chase cards in 2026 Bowman Football. Just days after release, the short-printed stuff is already bringing serious money, with the NFL side of the product leaning hard on familiar star power.

The hottest names at the top of the market are exactly who you’d expect: Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. The release also stands out because it mixes professional and collegiate players together for the first time ever, and the case-hit lineup - Anime, Garbage Pail Kids and Crystallized - has quickly become the center of attention.

Brady has owned the top end of the sales board so far. The highest NFL SSP sale in the release checked in at $7,800 for a Brady Anime card on Saturday.

That same day, another Brady Anime sold for $7,140, and a third brought $6,500. Anime cards have long been one of the biggest draws in Bowman products, and Brady’s latest versions are already showing that same kind of pull.

The next Brady card on the list came in at $6,500 as well, this time for the Garbage Pail Kids “Bejeweled Brady.” The image is built around Brady’s seven Super Bowl victories, showing seven rings on seven fingers on his non-throwing hand. The alliteration also fits the GPK style, making it one of the more eye-catching Brady cards in the set.

Mahomes is making his own noise, too. His “Magical Mahomes” Garbage Pail Kids card sold for $5,400, the highest-priced NFL SSP in the release for any player not named Tom Brady. With Mahomes continuing to be one of the most sought-after names in the hobby, the card is already landing with collectors who want a premium piece that stands out.

Josh Allen cracked the list with the lone Crystallized card among the top sales. His Gold Crystal Refractor /50 sold for $4,000. Allen is one of 13 NFL players included in the Crystallized set, and the card’s low print run helped push it into the upper tier of early sales.

Fernando Mendoza also showed up among the strongest early performers. His Garbage Pail Kids card, “Musical Mendoza,” sold for $3,800. The Las Vegas Raiders quarterback and No. 1 overall pick fits the GPK mold cleanly, and with only a limited number of 2026 releases out so far, it’s already one of the better early cards tied to his name.

Bills Fans Will Feel Mitch Morses Heartbreaking Family News

Mitch Morse shared heartbreaking family news this week, announcing the death of his younger brother Robbie, who passed away last week at 30. Robbie had lived with lifelong disabilities after suffering severe brain trauma as an infant, and the Morse family had long been open about his story, turning their private struggle into something many football fans came to know over the years.

The loss is one that will resonate in Buffalo, where Morse spent part of his career and built a strong connection with the fan base. Condolences poured in from across the NFL, including from former teammates and multiple teams, a reminder of how widely Robbies story was felt beyond one locker room. [Read more 🡒]

Bills Suddenly Have A Problem They May Need To Trade For

The Bills 29-26 loss to the Patriots did more than dent the standings. It also pushed a familiar concern back into the spotlight: a secondary that is being asked to hold up while the defense adjusts to Jim Leonhards system, all while injuries keep stripping away experienced options. Buffalo has had to lean on less seasoned defensive backs, and the results have made the back end look like a spot that could use help sooner rather than later.

With the trade deadline still on the horizon in 2026, the question is whether Buffalo waits for its current group to stabilize or starts looking outside the building for reinforcements. The need is obvious enough after a night like this, but the challenge is finding a move that actually fits both the Bills defense and the urgency created by a thin, banged-up secondary. Bills Face A Risky Tyreek Hill Decision With AFC Stakes

Tyreek Hill is expected to land with an NFL team soon after working his way back from a season-ending injury and being released by the Dolphins, and the Bills are one of the clubs that could wind up in the mix. NFL insider Albert Breer pointed to Buffalo and Kansas City as the two most obvious fits, which makes sense given how both early AFC contenders could use help at wide receiver and have enough ambition to think beyond simple depth.

For Buffalo, the appeal is obvious and the risk is just as clear. Hill would give the offense another dangerous weapon, but the Bills would also be weighing his recovery and age against the possibility that the Chiefs could get there first. In a conference where every edge matters, the decision is less about whether Hill can help and more about how much a contender wants to bet on what he still has left. [Read more 🡒]
