Wide receiver DJ Moore had a fresh experience with the Bears last season, and it was one for the books. The 2026 season marked Moore’s first taste of victory in the NFL, as he played a pivotal role in helping the Bears clinch the NFC North.
They pushed their way to the divisional round of the playoffs, only to be halted by the Rams. It felt like the dawn of a promising era in Chicago, especially with Ben Johnson making waves in his first year as head coach.
However, Moore’s journey with the Bears has come to a natural conclusion.
Moore has now packed his bags for Buffalo, having been traded to the Bills earlier this week. During a Thursday press conference, Moore reflected on his time in Chicago with a sense of fulfillment, acknowledging that it was time to turn the page.
“I’m excited. I’m excited for the new challenge and a new journey.
I think my time in Chicago, it ran its course and it ended on a great note with it being a great season in how it ended,” Moore expressed, according to the Bills’ website. “Now it’s time to do that here.”
In Buffalo, Moore will team up with quarterback Josh Allen, and the Bills are hopeful that his addition will revitalize a receiving corps that faced its share of scrutiny during the 2025 season. Should Moore and Allen click, the Bills might just find the breakthrough they’ve been seeking.
