The Buffalo Bills are into training camp, and the biggest personnel question left hanging feels pretty straightforward: Tre’Davious White.
General manager Brandon Beane didn’t exactly slam the door on that possibility when he spoke to the media on the first day of camp. In fact, he kept the tone warm and familiar.

That wasn’t the first time Beane has gone there, either. Before the NFL Draft, he said the Bills “how you never close the door on bringing a guy like that back to Buffalo”, per Matthew Bove. Now, with camp underway and Beane still talking about White in positive terms, the idea of another reunion keeps getting harder to ignore.
White’s history with Buffalo is already well established. He spent 2017-2023 with the Bills, became one of the league’s top corners, and then dealt with a torn ACL in 2021. He was back with Buffalo for a second stint last offseason after playing the 2024 season with the Los Angeles Rams, and then was traded to the Baltimore Ravens.
There were stretches last season when White looked like the Bills’ best corner, even ahead of Christian Benford. As the year went on, he also held up well in coverage and brought above-average run support.
Buffalo has already added to the secondary this offseason. The Bills signed Dee Alford in free agency as the Taron Johnson replacement, then drafted Davison Igbinosun and Toriano Pride Jr. Even with those moves, White would still bring something the roster doesn’t have enough of right now: a veteran who knows the building, understands the standard, and has lived through the pressure that comes with playing in Buffalo.
At this point, it feels like the Bills have one obvious move left to make.
