Bills Zero In On Freakishly Strong Prospect

Buffalo Bills set their sights on Navy's powerhouse Landon Robinson, as they explore adding extraordinary strength to their roster.

The Buffalo Bills are setting their sights on a standout athlete from the 2026 NFL Draft class, and this prospect is turning heads for all the right reasons. Navy's defensive tackle, Landon Robinson, is on the Bills' radar as they gear up for the draft, which is just around the corner. Buffalo recently conducted a private workout with Robinson and also met with him at the Shrine Bowl, indicating serious interest.

Robinson, a senior standing at 5'11" and weighing 291 pounds, may be considered undersized for his position, but his strength is anything but. This powerhouse benches an impressive 465 pounds and squats 655 pounds, feats that required a specially ordered bar due to his extraordinary capabilities. His strength and knack for making impactful plays, particularly on fake punts, have earned him a spot on Bruce Feldman’s renowned “Freaks List” three times.

Feldman’s assessment of Robinson highlights his journey and accomplishments. Arriving at the Naval Academy at 240 pounds, Robinson has bulked up to 286 and has consistently impressed.

In 2024, he made First-Team All-AAC with a remarkable 61 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, seven quarterback hurries, and two forced fumbles. His standout performance came in a crucial game against arch-rival Army, where he notched a career-high 13 tackles and a forced fumble, playing a pivotal role in Navy's victory.

Robinson's versatility shines through with his ability to execute fake punts, evidenced by a 29-yard run on a fourth-and-5 play. Across his career, he's averaged a stunning 29 yards per carry on three rushing attempts.

This offseason, Robinson continued to push his limits, increasing his bench press to 465 pounds, squatting 665, and power cleaning 350. His athleticism is further showcased by a 33-inch vertical jump and reaching a speed of 20.13 mph on the GPS.

Recognized for his stellar season, Robinson earned a spot on the AP All-America first team as an interior defensive lineman, sharing the honor with Ohio State’s Kayden McDonald, a projected first-round pick. While Robinson is projected to be a day-three pick, his unique skill set and undeniable strength make him a fascinating prospect for teams like the Bills looking to bolster their defensive line.
