Buffalo’s passing game could get a lift on Sunday, and it starts with DJ Moore.
The Bills wide receiver has been out since Week 4 because of a shoulder injury, but he was limited in practice leading into Week 8 against the Baltimore Ravens and is officially questionable. ESPN’s Cameron Wolfe reported that Moore expects to play in the matchup barring a setback. Moore has been dealing with the AC joint injury since Week 2.
That would be a welcome development for Buffalo, which has leaned on Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman and Josh Palmer in the wide receiver room while Moore has been sidelined. He opened the season with a big performance against the Houston Texans, going for five catches on eight targets, 100 yards and a touchdown. Since then, though, he has managed just seven total receptions and was on the field for under 40 percent of the offense’s snaps in Weeks 2 and 4 because of the injury.
There is still some risk here if he does suit up. Moore’s shoulder issue has lingered, and there’s always the chance it flares up again. That makes him a tricky prop play for Sunday even with the expectation that he’ll be available.
The Bills may also get another important piece back on defense, as defensive tackle Ed Oliver has no injury designation and is set to return this week. That matters against Lamar and the Ravens.
Another Buffalo pass catcher to watch is tight end Dalton Kincaid, who is questionable with a chest injury. Kincaid has only one touchdown this season, which came in Week 2, but Baltimore has been vulnerable to tight ends, allowing five tight end touchdown receptions in seven games.
Kincaid disappeared a bit in Weeks 3, 4 and 5, drawing only seven targets total, but Joe Brady made a point of getting him involved in Week 6. He saw eight targets, caught seven passes for 38 yards, and had a touchdown wiped out by a penalty.
That kind of usage is why Kincaid remains an appealing option in this spot. When he’s one of the top priorities in Buffalo’s passing game, the offense has looked smoother.

Bills Fans Have A Real Dalton Kincaid Concern Entering Week 8
Dalton Kincaids Week 8 status is the kind of tight end update Bills fans have learned to watch closely, especially after he was listed as questionable with a chest injury. He managed three limited practices and, even with the designation hanging over him, there is at least some optimism around his availability as Buffalo heads into the weekend.
The concern is more about how the week unfolded than the final label itself. Kincaid came out of the bye in a non-contact jersey, a detail that naturally raised eyebrows, and the Bills are still waiting to see how his body responds as game day approaches. Around the league, other tight ends are dealing with their own late-week injury uncertainty, but for Buffalo the focus remains on whether Kincaid can be ready to go when it matters most. Ed Olivers Return Could Change Everything For Buffalos Defense
Ed Olivers season has already become one of those quiet but meaningful storylines that can shape a defense far beyond the box score. The Bills have missed him for multiple games because of injuries, and he has been on the field for only three games so far, but the difference in how Buffalo plays with him out there has been hard to ignore. When Oliver is active, the front looks more disruptive, the run fits are cleaner and the whole unit seems to settle into a better rhythm.
His absence has also been felt around him, with Greg Rousseau and Deone Walker both seeing their own production dip during the stretch he has missed. For a defense built on pressure and interior disruption, getting Oliver back would not just be about adding one player to the lineup, it could help restore the edge and energy that have been missing. The bigger question now is whether Buffalo can get that version of the defense back in time to matter. [Read more 🡒]
Bills Enter Ravens Showdown With One Edge Fans Might Be Overlooking
As Buffalo prepares for a marquee matchup with Baltimore, one of its quietest advantages has become impossible to ignore. The Bills special teams unit has surged to the top of Pro Football Focus NFL rankings, a reflection of the steady work being done by kicker Tyler Bass and rookie punter Tommy Doman, who has quickly settled into a meaningful role flipping field position. Head coach Joe Brady has been quick to point out how much that phase of the game matters to Buffalos broader success.
It is the kind of edge that can get lost in the buildup to a heavyweight showdown, but it could matter just as much as the more obvious matchup points on Sunday. Buffalos special teams have been consistently sharp, and with Baltimore on deck, the Bills will be leaning on every hidden yard they can find while fans also sort through the broadcast and streaming details for the game.
