Buffalo enters Sunday’s meeting with the Baltimore Ravens carrying a manageable-looking injury report, but there’s still enough uncertainty to keep things interesting.
Six Bills were listed as questionable after Friday’s final practice: DJ Moore, Dalton Kincaid, Dee Alford, Spencer Brown, TJ Parker and Greg Gaines. No player on the 53-man roster has been formally ruled out.
Moore and Kincaid have spent the week in red non-contact jerseys as the Bills’ top pass-catching options push to be available for the AFC matchup. The rest of the questionable group gives Buffalo a few more moving parts heading into the weekend.
There was also a late twist with Gaines, who was added to the list after tweaking something in his lower body during Friday’s session, according to Joe Brady. Through six games, Gaines has 11 tackles, one tackle for loss and a fumble recovery.
At the same time, several players who showed up on the injury report are heading into Sunday without a designation. That group includes Bradley Chubb, Joe Andreessen, Ed Oliver and T.J.
Sanders. For Oliver, this marks his first game since Week 4 against New England.
In three games, he has nine tackles, four QB hits, a tackle for loss and half a sack.
Tyrell Shavers will stay off the 53-man roster for now while Buffalo uses his 21-day practice window before making a decision.
The team also appears to have its plan set at safety. Damar Hamlin will start in place of C.J.
Gardner-Johnson, who is serving a one-game suspension after spitting on Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers two weeks ago. Gardner-Johnson appealed, but the suspension was upheld.
If Buffalo does need extra help by kickoff, the final clue could come from Saturday night or early Sunday, when the Bills are expected to decide whether to elevate two players from the practice squad. That move is often used to patch over short-handed spots.
Bills-Ravens kicks off Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on CBS Sports, with Ian Eagle and Ross Tucker on the call.

James Cook Faces A Huge Bills Test Against Baltimore
Buffalos ground game has been one of the biggest reasons the offense has stayed on schedule, with James Cook carrying the load and giving the Bills a steady threat between the tackles and on the edges. He has piled up 627 rushing yards and six touchdowns, production that has helped make the run game a real part of Buffalos identity rather than just a changeup.
The next test is a serious one, though, because Baltimore brings a top-10 run defense into the matchup and will force the Bills to prove their rushing attack can travel against a sturdier front. For Buffalo, that puts extra weight on Cooks role, especially with offensive coordinator Joe Brady already zeroing in on ball security as a point of emphasis. [Read more 🡒]
Bills Could Be Headed For A Maxx Crosby Deadline Debate
The trade deadline chatter around Maxx Crosby is starting to feel like the kind of conversation that could follow the Bills right up to Nov. 10. Buffalo has been mentioned alongside the Lions and Cowboys as a possible landing spot for the Raiders edge rusher, a reminder that teams looking to sharpen their defenses are keeping a close eye on the market for difference-makers, especially with the price of star defenders climbing into the multiple first-round-pick range.
For the Bills, the appeal is obvious even without the full mechanics of a deal coming into view. Crosby would fit the profile of a player who can change the tone of a defense in a hurry, and Buffalo is the sort of contender that has to at least weigh whether a swing of that size is worth it. The bigger question is whether the market gets even more complicated from here, because once a player of Crosbys stature starts drawing this much attention, the deadline can turn into a bidding war fast. Josh Allen Could Be Headed For A Huge Bills Statement Game
Josh Allen has a chance to put together one of those signature Bills performances that can tilt a game in a hurry, especially with Buffalo leaning on his ability to create plays when the offense gets near the end zone. The setup is there for a big night against Baltimore, with the matchup shaping up as one of the more intriguing quarterback tests on the schedule.
What makes this one especially worth watching is how much of Buffalos plan can flow through Allen if the passing game has to work around protection questions. The Bills have been using him as a central piece of their goal-line approach, and if the offense gets into scoring position repeatedly, his role could become the difference between a solid outing and something much bigger.
