The Buffalo Bills are down to their first 53-man roster of the 2026 NFL season, and the deadline has now come and gone across the league.
By Sunday at 6 p.m., Buffalo had cut its roster from 91 players to 53. The last couple of days brought a steady stream of moves, with player cuts rolling in and a trade or two also taking place. Now the Bills, like everyone else, shift to injury designations and the waiver wire as the roster keeps taking shape.
On offense, the quarterback room is set with Josh Allen and Kyle Allen. At running back, the Bills are carrying James Cook, Ray Davis and Ty Johnson.
Tight end includes Dalton Kincaid, Dawson Knox, Jackson Hawes and Keleki Latu. At receiver, Buffalo’s group is DJ Moore, Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, Joshua Palmer and Skyler Bell.
Up front, the offensive line features Dion Dawkins, Alec Andrerson, Connor McGovern, O'Cyrus Torrence, Spencer Brown, Austin Corbett, Tylan Grable, Jude Bowry, Lloyd Cushenberry and Ar'maj Reed Adams.
Tyrell Shavers is on the PUP list.
Defensively, the Bills are keeping Ed Oliver, Deone Walker, T.J. Sanders, Landon Jackson, DeWayne Carter and Greg Gaines on the defensive line. The edge group is Bradley Chubb, Greg Rousseau, Michael Hoecht, TJ Parker, Javon Solomon and Mike Danna.
At linebacker, Buffalo has Terrel Bernard, Dorian Williams, Kaleb Elarms-Orr and Joe Andreessen.
The cornerback group listed is Christian Benford, Maxwell Hairston, Davison Igbinosun, Dee Alford and Jordan Hancock, with Te'Cory Couch Benford, Maxwell Hairston, Davison Igbinosun, Dee Alford.
At safety, the Bills are carrying Cole Bishop, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Damar Hamlin, Jalon Kilgore and Sam Franklin Jr.
Zane Durant is on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, while Phidarian Mathis is on the reserve/suspended list.
Special teams is headed by Tyler Bass at kicker, Tommy Doman Jr. as the rookie punter, and Reid Ferguson at long snapper.

After signing veteran center Lloyd Cushenberry and extending Connor McGovern, Buffalo had little runway left for the backup center to push for meaningful snaps, even if he still represented a useful piece of depth.
So Brandon Beane turned that surplus into draft value, sending Van Pran-Granger and a 2027 seventh-round pick to the Colts for a 2027 sixth-rounder. A preseason competition in the Bills secondary has already produced a notable roster move, with Buffalo releasing safety Geno Stone after signing him to a one-year deal earlier in the year.
