The Buffalo Bills are heading into Week 8 with a mixed bag of injury news, but the headline is clear: DJ Moore is expected back, while Spencer Brown is out.
Buffalo’s final injury report on Friday was crowded, with six players carrying questionable tags after a week that still featured plenty of health concerns despite the bye. Tyrell Shavers was already ruled out, though his practice window only opened this week as he continues working back from a torn ACL.
Here’s how the injury list shook out:
CB Dee Alford (ankle)-Questionable
OL Spencer Brown (back)-Questionable
DL Greg Gaines (calf)-Questionable
TE Dalton Kincaid (chest)-Questionable
WR DJ Moore (shoulder)-Questionable
OLB TJ Parker (knee)-Questionable
WR Tyrell Shavers (knee)-Out
Before the final inactives came down, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Moore, who had missed the Bills’ last two games, was expected to return and give the offense a needed lift. On the other side of the ledger, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reported that Brown would be inactive because of the back injury he’s been dealing with since Week 5.
That leaves Buffalo without a starting offensive lineman, and it appears Tylan Grable is in line to fill that spot. Dee Alford, who had been trending the wrong way during the week, is officially out as he continues recovering from the ankle issue.
Greg Gaines’ calf injury also trims the depth up front on defense. Even so, Buffalo still has a workable rotation in the trenches.
The Bills are back home for the first time since Week 4 and trying to keep rolling after the bye, with a chance to win their 12th straight game in that spot. Standing in the way is a Baltimore team that sits last in the AFC North after back-to-back divisional matchups against the Browns and Bengals.
Buffalo can move to 6-1, but the Ravens have a way of making life difficult for the Bills. Kickoff in Orchard Park is set for 1 p.m.

Bills Suddenly Have A Week 9 Problem They Can't Prepare For
The Bills Week 9 matchup has taken on a new wrinkle with Minnesotas quarterback situation suddenly in flux. Kyler Murray is dealing with hamstring tightness, and Vikings coach Kevin OConnell said he will go through a full evaluation before the game, with the team planning to start him only if hes healthy enough to go.
For Buffalo, the uncertainty matters because it changes the shape of a game plan that had already been built around preparing for Murrays mobility and playmaking. If he is unable to suit up, the Vikings would turn to Carson Wentz, leaving the Bills to wait and see which version of Minnesota theyll actually face on Sunday. [Read more 🡒]
Bills Rookie Corner May Have Changed How Fans See This Defense
A strong defensive showing in Buffalos 36-10 win over the Ravens gave the Bills another reminder that this group can change the tone of a game in a hurry. The defense forced three takeaways, held Baltimore to 144 total yards and finished with four sacks, the kind of all-around effort that can reshape how a team is viewed when the spotlight is on its young players.
Igbinosun was right in the middle of it, collecting his first career takeaway and helping fuel a performance that had head coach Joe Brady praising the unit afterward. For a rookie corner to make that kind of imprint in a game like this is the sort of development Buffalo will want to keep seeing, especially if the defense is going to keep building on a night when it looked fast, disruptive and confident. Bills Reaction To Josh Allen Non-Call Says Plenty About Their Concern
Josh Allen took a dangerous hit during the game against Baltimore when Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith got into his facemask on a play the officials missed entirely. For Buffalo, the concern was not just the moment itself but what it said about the protection Allen was getting on a night when the quarterback was already operating under pressure and the Bills were trying to manage the game around him.
Afterward, Joe Brady made clear the non-call caught the staff off guard, and the episode only added to the sense that Allen was exposed on a play the league is now expected to address with a fine for Smith. It also fit a broader frustration for Buffalo, because when a hit like that goes unnoticed in real time, it can shape how the offense thinks about the rest of the game even before the next snap is taken.
