When the Buffalo Bills line up against the Houston Texans today, the spotlight isn’t just on the score. It’s on what Buffalo’s reshaped defense looks like in live action, and whether C.J. Stroud can handle the pressure that comes with it.
Jim Leonhard’s new 3-4 setup is a major storyline for Buffalo. That optimism sets up a direct challenge for Buffalo. Even with a new scheme in place, the Bills have a chance to make life miserable for Stroud right away. He hasn’t carried over the same spark from his rookie year, and now he’s facing a defense he hasn’t seen before in this form.
For Buffalo, that creates a clean path to spoil the Week 1 narrative and try to walk out with a 1-0 record.
