A.J. Brown has been swirling in the trade rumor mill recently, following a challenging 2025 season. However, it seems the star wide receiver is set to stay put.
In a recent chat on 97.5 The Fanatic, Eagles insider Derrick Gunn shared that Philadelphia is keen on keeping Brown and has no plans to trade him. Gunn emphasized that despite the rough patches last year, Brown has always wanted to be with the Eagles.
"The Eagles want A.J. Brown in an Eagles uniform in 2026," Gunn stated.
"I believe he never wanted to get out of town... A.J. has always wanted to be here.
He just wanted the offense to be similar to what it was in 2024 in terms of production."
For the Eagles, Brown's commitment is a big win, but it's a setback for teams like the Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, and New England Patriots. All three are expected to be active in the wide receiver market this offseason, and Brown would have been a game-changer.
The Bills, in particular, are on the hunt for a top-tier receiver to pair with quarterback Josh Allen, and Brown could have been the perfect fit. Meanwhile, the Broncos and Patriots, with talents like Courtland Sutton and Stefon Diffs, would have seen their offenses soar with Brown in the mix.
With Brown likely staying in Philadelphia, these teams will need to explore other avenues to strengthen their receiving corps for 2026.
