Tedy Bruschi Makes Bold Super Bowl Prediction After Tom Brady Debacle

As Super Bowl LX approaches, Patriots icon Tedy Bruschi steps off the sidelines to publicly back a former teammate-highlighting a split in loyalties among New England legends.

Tedy Bruschi isn’t hiding where his loyalty lies ahead of Super Bowl LX - and it’s not just about the team colors or nostalgia. For the former Patriots linebacker, this one’s personal.

While Tom Brady took a neutral stance when asked who he’s rooting for in the big game between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, Bruschi made it clear: he’s riding with Mike Vrabel, his longtime teammate and close friend.

“That’s the way Tom feels,” Bruschi said. “I got a big a** dog in the race.

I'm telling you that right now. That’s my boy right there.

Mike Vrabel - an eight-year teammate, like a brother of mine.”

Bruschi and Vrabel were the heart of New England’s defense during the Patriots’ early-2000s dynasty. They won three Super Bowls together, built a bond forged in Foxborough winters and playoff wars, and now, Bruschi is all in on backing his former teammate.

“My dog is big, and I’m cheering for him,” Bruschi continued. “Whatever game they're in, they know how to win, right?

You need to block a field goal? Somebody’s gonna block a field goal.

You need to score on defense? They’ve scored on defense.”

And then came the kicker - a nod to the Patriots’ current quarterback, Drake Maye, and the kind of clutch play that defines postseason football.

“You need Drake Maye to make a play on fourth down. That’s all he needs to do.

Go ahead and do it. They’ve done it.”

There’s no mistaking Bruschi’s passion here. While Brady, now a minority owner of an NFL franchise, might be keeping things diplomatic, Bruschi isn’t under those constraints. He’s calling it like he sees it - and he’s putting his full weight behind Vrabel and the Patriots.

Patriots Back on the Super Bowl Stage

This Super Bowl marks a major milestone for New England. It’s their first trip back to the big game since the legendary Bill Belichick-Tom Brady era ended. And fittingly, it’s a familiar foe on the other sideline - the Seattle Seahawks.

The game will be played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, with the Patriots designated as the home team. In a bit of a surprise move, New England has opted to wear white jerseys and white pants - a departure from their traditional navy blue home look. That means Seattle will suit up in their usual home navy-on-navy uniforms, a combo that’s become synonymous with their physical, fast-paced style.

A Patch of History

Both teams will wear the official Super Bowl LX patch, which this year carries an extra layer of significance. The patch includes a special “America 250” design on the right shoulder, commemorating the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States’ Declaration of Independence.
