The game remained a pitching duel until the fourth inning when Emma Knight ignited the Eagles' offense with a towering home run to center field. This marked her second homer of the weekend and eighth of the season, putting BC on the board. However, the Panthers quickly responded, tying the game 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth.
The real fireworks came in the sixth inning. With the bases loaded and the pressure mounting, Adriana Martinez delivered a clutch performance, launching a grand slam to right field.
This powerful hit catapulted the Eagles to a 5-1 lead, putting them firmly in control. Not to be outdone, Nicole Riddell followed suit with a solo shot, extending the lead to 6-1.
