Eagles Captains Earn NFL Combine Invites After Standout 2025 Season

Three standout Boston College captains are set to showcase their talents on footballs biggest pre-draft stage.

Three key pillars of Boston College football are headed to Indianapolis, as offensive linemen Jude Bowry and Logan Taylor, along with defensive end Quintayvious Hutchins, have earned invitations to the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine. All three were 2025 team captains and recently represented the Eagles at the Panini Senior Bowl, continuing to build momentum heading into the draft process.

Let’s start with Bowry, who anchored the left side of the Eagles’ line with quiet dominance in 2025. He started nine games at left tackle and didn’t allow a single sack over 320 dropback snaps.

That’s not just solid-that’s elite blindside protection. His consistency was a big reason Boston College’s passing offense soared to 14th nationally, averaging 280.2 yards per game-good for third-best in the ACC.

When you’ve got a quarterback who trusts his left tackle that much, it opens up everything in the playbook.

On the other side of the ball, Hutchins brought veteran leadership and steady production to the Eagles’ defensive front. He played in 10 games last season, starting nine, and finished with 35 tackles, seven quarterback hits, and two sacks.

While those sack numbers might not jump off the page, Hutchins’ impact went beyond the stat sheet. He consistently disrupted opposing backfields and set the edge with discipline-traits that NFL scouts are always looking for in a rotational defensive end.

Hutchins wraps up his five-year career at Boston College with 40 games under his belt and 16 starts, showing both durability and growth.

Then there’s Taylor, a true Swiss Army knife on the offensive line. He started all 12 games in 2025, lining up at three different spots-eight starts at right guard, three at left tackle, and one at right tackle.

That kind of versatility is gold at the next level. Taylor’s efforts earned him Second Team All-ACC honors from both the conference and the Associated Press.

He also graded out as Boston College’s top run blocker per Pro Football Focus, posting a 73.8-proof of his ability to move defenders and open lanes in the ground game.

While Boston College’s official Pro Day date is still to be announced, the Combine will be the first big stage for these three to showcase their skills in front of NFL decision-makers. The event runs from February 23 to March 2 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, with 319 total prospects invited.

For Bowry, Hutchins, and Taylor, this is more than a combine invite-it’s a shot to prove they belong at the next level. And based on what they put on tape in 2025, they’ve earned every bit of this opportunity.
