Disturbing: Football Star Arrested On Felony Rape Charge

BYU's top receiver faces a first-degree felony rape charge following a year-long investigation into a 2025 incident.

BYU Wide Receiver Parker Kingston Arrested on First-Degree Felony Rape Charge

BYU football standout Parker Kingston has been arrested and is currently being held without bail following a first-degree felony rape charge stemming from an incident in February 2025. The 21-year-old junior wide receiver, who led the Cougars in receiving last season, is scheduled to make his initial court appearance on Friday, February 13.

The charge follows a year-long investigation by law enforcement in St. George, Utah.

According to officials, the alleged victim reported the incident at St. George Regional Hospital.

From there, the case was taken over by the Washington County Attorney’s Office, which confirmed that detectives gathered digital and forensic evidence and conducted interviews with those involved, including witnesses.

In a public statement, the Washington County Attorney’s Office said, “The Washington County Attorney’s Office takes allegations of sexual assault seriously. We thank the medical professionals and law enforcement officers who assisted with this investigation for their partnership and professionalism.”

Kingston played a central role in BYU’s offense last season, finishing the year with 66 receptions for 924 yards and five touchdowns-leading the team in all three categories. His speed and route-running had made him a key playmaker in the Cougars’ transition to Big 12 competition.

BYU issued a brief statement acknowledging Kingston’s arrest and emphasizing that the university is cooperating with law enforcement. “BYU became aware today of the arrest of Parker Kingston,” the statement read.

“The university takes any allegation very seriously and will cooperate with law enforcement. Due to federal and university privacy laws and practices for students, the university will not be able to provide additional comment.”

This marks the second time in the past year that a BYU football player has faced rape allegations. In May 2025, former quarterback Jake Retzlaff was accused in a civil lawsuit that was later dismissed with prejudice. Retzlaff transferred to Tulane following the resolution of that case.

The legal process for Kingston is just beginning, and as of now, no trial date has been set. The situation remains fluid, and more information is expected to emerge following his court appearance.
