Boston College Women's Tennis Rolls Past Harvard, 4-1, Behind Dominant Doubles and Singles Performances

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Boston College women’s tennis is off to a strong start this season, and Tuesday night’s 4-1 win over Harvard at the Murr Tennis Center was another statement of intent. The Eagles improved to 4-1 on the year with a performance that combined grit in doubles and poise in singles, handing the Crimson their first loss of the season.

The tone was set early in doubles, where Boston College showed resilience and chemistry in tight matchups. Tola Glowacka and Isabella Camacho came through in the clutch at No. 3 doubles, edging out a 7-5 win. Shortly after, Olivia Benton and Leyden Games sealed the doubles point with an 8-6 victory at No. 2, showcasing sharp net play and timely returns under pressure.

That early momentum carried straight into singles play, where the Eagles kept their foot on the gas. Seren Agar delivered a composed performance at No. 2, dispatching Claire Shao in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.

Tola Glowacka followed suit at No. 4, controlling the pace and earning a 6-3, 6-3 win over Anna-raphelle Serghi. Then it was Leyden Games who clinched the match for BC with a commanding 6-2, 6-2 victory at the No. 5 spot, showing off her consistency from the baseline and ability to close out points efficiently.

Both Glowacka and Games went undefeated on the day, contributing wins in both doubles and singles-exactly the kind of all-around performances that power team victories in college tennis.

The only singles point for Harvard came at No. 3, where Kavya Karra defeated Natalie Eordekian in straight sets. The top and bottom singles matches went unfinished, but not before Olivia Benton pushed Harvard’s Stephanie Yakoff to a first-set tiebreak and Nadia Barteck grabbed a 7-5 first set at No. 6 before play was halted.
