Boston College Men's Golf Stuns With Top Five Finish at Invitational

Boston College Men's Golf demonstrates remarkable skill and depth with a fourth-place finish at the Surf Club Invitational, highlighted by standout performances from both veterans and newcomers.

In the sunny setting of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the Boston College Men's Golf team wrapped up a strong showing at the Surf Club Invitational, hosted by Appalachian State. With a collective score of 14-under par, the Eagles secured a commendable fourth-place finish.

Their performance on the par 5s was particularly impressive, as they ranked among the top five teams with a score of 20-under. The team also tallied three eagles and an impressive 55 birdies over the course of the tournament.

Freshman sensation Tony Yin was a standout, delivering an exceptional final round. Yin carded five birdies, finishing with a score of 67, which propelled him to a tie for 10th place at 7-under par. His poise and precision on the greens were a testament to his burgeoning talent.

Juniors Markus Lam and senior Jack Pogorelc also made significant contributions, both finishing at 5-under par. Their consistent play earned them a shared tie for 14th place. Sophomore Tommy Mangan, with a final round of 74, ended the tournament tied for 58th place at 4-over par. Freshman Connor Chisum rounded out the lineup, gaining valuable experience despite a challenging outing.
