Boston College Just Got Major ACC Respect Before The Season

Boston College Football's impressive talent is recognized with four players honored on the prestigious 2026 Athlon Sports Preseason ACC All-Conference Team.

Boston College’s presence on the 2026 Athlon Sports Preseason ACC All-Conference Team runs four deep, with tight end Kaelan Chudzinski, defensive back KP Price, running back Evan Dickens and kicker Luca Lombardo all earning spots when the list was released Wednesday.

Chudzinski’s rise was one of the Eagles’ clearest bright spots in 2025. The freshman tight end played in all 12 games and made two starts, then finished with 24 catches for 313 yards and four touchdowns. Those numbers weren’t just strong for a first-year player - they were the best in the country among freshman tight ends in receptions and receiving yards, while his four touchdown grabs tied for the national lead at the position.

Price is heading into his fourth season on The Heights with plenty already on his résumé. He was named to the All-ACC Second Team and wore a captain’s label in 2025, then kept stacking production in the secondary. Over Boston College’s last 25 games, he has started every one, and across the past two seasons he has totaled 179 tackles, nine pass breakups, four interceptions and one fumble recovery.

Dickens, who arrived in January after one year at Liberty and two at Georgia Tech, immediately established himself as one of the country’s most productive backs in 2025. The Marietta, Ga., native ran for 1,339 yards and 16 touchdowns, ranking fifth nationally in rushing yards, fourth in rushing scores and third with 121.7 rushing yards per game. He also posted 127.7 all-purpose yards per game, good for seventh in the nation, along with 9.3 points per game, which placed him 10th nationally.

Lombardo rounds out the group after a standout kicking season in 2025. The Westport, Conn., native bounced back from a 2024 campaign that was limited to four games because of injury and went 16 for 17 on field goals while making all 35 of his extra-point attempts. That performance earned him Lou Groza Award semifinalist honors as he heads into his third season with the Eagles.
