Boston College’s recruiting board is getting crowded with high-end talent, and three names in the classes of 2027 and 2028 have emerged as serious targets.
The group includes 2027 combo guard Tre Keith, 2027 point guard Antonio Pemberton, and 2028 forward Payton Wilson. All three have trimmed their lists, and BC is still in the hunt.
Keith, a 6-foot-3 guard from Atlanta, is down to six schools: BC, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, and Saint Louis. He’s the No. 60 overall recruit in the class, according to 247Sports, and a consensus four-star prospect from 247 and ESPN.
This summer, he was one of the most efficient scorers on the 3SSB circuit while playing for AE5, putting up 20.3 points per game and 1.09 points scored per possession on 47/42/73 shooting. He also added five rebounds and three assists per game.
Keith’s stock has climbed because he’s looked sharper as a scorer and cleaner in his decision-making. He’s a quick, adaptable bucket-getter who can help stretch the floor and keep the offense moving.
The size isn’t ideal, but his wingspan and hand width stand out, and there’s a smoothness to how he plays. He can still grow into being more assertive as a self-creator, but the summer production was a strong sign.
BC and Clemson are viewed as the leaders, and Keith is set to visit Chestnut Hill on Sept. 25 to meet with first-year head coach Luke Murray and his staff.
Pemberton has also become a major name for the Eagles. The Master’s Academy International guard is the No. 1 prospect in Massachusetts in the 2027 class and has been on Murray’s radar since the coach arrived after his time as an assistant to Dan Hurley at UConn. On Wednesday, Pemberton’s recruitment was cut to eight schools: BC, UCLA, Creighton, Marquette, Tennessee, Ohio State, Kansas, and Michigan State.
The 6-foot-1 guard is ranked No. 46 in SportsCenter NEXT’s top-100 and just turned in a huge summer with Mass Rivals AAU. He helped lead the team to the 3SSB finals and averaged 24 points per game, the best mark on the circuit, which earned him Offensive MVP honors.
Out of his eight finalists, he has only visited Marquette so far, but BC sits close to The Masters Academy, where he’ll finish his high school career. Pemberton’s game is built on pace, touch, and vision, with twitchy dribbling, a lightning-quick jumper, and elite court awareness making him a tough cover at this level.
Wilson is the youngest of the trio, but his recruitment is already drawing attention. The Holy Cross forward from Flushing, N.Y., is the No. 1 prospect in New York in the 2028 class. In a conversation with basketball recruiting analysts Stock Risers, he said BC, Notre Dame, and Utah are among the schools pushing hardest, though he noted that things are still early because he is only a rising junior.
Wilson’s summer included invitations to Nike Elite 100 and the Pangos All-American Camp, along with a 21-point, 11-rebound performance at Nike’s EYBL Peach Jam. His calling cards are versatility on both ends and a nonstop motor, and he comes out of one of New York’s top high school basketball leagues, a pipeline that regularly produces Division I players.
He already has offers from Seton Hall, UAB, and St. Bonaventure, while bigger programs are starting to get involved.
