Boston College’s men’s golf team wrapped up The Doc Gimmler Invitational in sixth place after weather wiped out the final round in Farmingdale, N.Y.
With round three canceled because of inclement weather, the tournament was decided by the scores posted over the first two days. Boston College finished at 9-over par, and the day one results were made final.
Senior Markus Lam made a strong return to competition, tying for seventh at 1-under par in his first tournament of the season. Across the two rounds, he carded seven birdies and played the par-3s and par-5s at 1-under.
Tommy Mangan and Kieran Low each landed in a tie for 26th at 3-over par. Mangan posted an even round in the second round and was the best in the field on par-3 holes at 3-under. Low bounced back in round two with a 1-over 71, and both players finished 1-under on par-5s.
Tony Yin finished tied for 55th at 8-over par, with his opening 72 standing as his best round of the event. He went 1-under on par-5s and made par 24 times.
Thomas Wang tied for 67th after shooting a 72 in round two and also making par 24 times. Wang finished even on par-5 holes.
Jackson Runquist, competing as the Eagles’ individual, tied for 40th at 5-over par. His best round came in the second round, when he shot a 71 with two birdies. He also finished 1-under on par-5 holes.
Boston College’s next stop is the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse in Hampden, Mass., set for Sept. 27-29 at the GreatHorse Golf Club.

Boston College sailing got its 2026 fall campaign underway with a busy opening stretch, giving the Eagles an early snapshot of where the roster stands in a competitive college sailing landscape. Across three regattas, the team logged meaningful results and got contributions from a mix of skippers and crew members in multiple divisions, the kind of early-season work that helps a program sort out combinations and build rhythm before the schedule starts to tighten.
The first weekend brought a solid showing at the Harry Anderson Trophy, followed by another strong team effort at the Pine Trophy and a tougher result at the Toni Deutsch Trophy. With four more regattas lined up the following weekend, Boston College already has plenty to evaluate, and the opening run suggests this roster should give the coaching staff a clearer picture of which boats are starting to click and where there is still work to do.
