Boston College men’s soccer returns to Newton Soccer Field on Saturday night for its ACC home opener against Syracuse, with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. The game will stream live on ACC Network Extra.
The Eagles are coming off a 2-2 draw with St. Bonaventure on Tuesday afternoon. Michael Asare and Bryan Toro both found the net, each scoring their second goal of the season, and Christian Bejar picked up his first assist on Asare’s goal.
BC enters the matchup at 3-1-1 overall and 0-1 in ACC play. Toro has been the team’s most productive player so far, leading the Eagles with seven points on two goals and three assists, both career highs. Boston College has four players with two goals this season, and Toro’s three assists also pace the squad.
In goal, Borak has played every minute for the Eagles and carries a 1.20 goals-against average.
Syracuse arrives in Newton at 4-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play after a 5-0 home win over St. John’s on Wednesday.
Pedro Gulli leads the Orange with three goals and is one of three Syracuse players with six points. Sachiel Ming tops the team in assists with three after adding one in Wednesday’s win.
Between the posts, Kyle Jansen has started four of Syracuse’s six games, allowing five goals while making nine saves. Juan Martinez-Bastidas has recorded shutouts in both of his starts.
Boston College owns a 19-13-5 all-time edge against Syracuse and is 12-4-4 at home in the series. The Eagles’ last meeting in Syracuse ended in a 1-0 loss in October 2025, but that remains their only defeat in the last five matchups, a stretch in which BC is 2-1-3. The last time Syracuse came to Newton was in 2024, when the teams played to a 1-1 draw and Asare scored his first collegiate goal.
