Boston College baseball is packing its bags for a sunny weekend in Fort Myers, where they'll face off against the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles in a three-game series. The action kicks off Friday at 6:30 p.m., followed by games on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday at 1:00 p.m., all available for streaming on ESPN+.

Series History

This marks the first matchup between these two programs since 2012, with Boston College holding a slight edge in the series at 3-2. However, FGCU claimed the last victory with an 8-5 win.

Weekend Preview

Florida Gulf Coast comes into the series with an impressive 8-1 record, having split their recent midweek games against Indiana State. The Eagles were on an eight-game winning streak before their Wednesday loss. Jon Embury is leading FGCU's offense, boasting a .439 average, 17 RBIs, and five homers.

Friday's mound matchup features BC's A.J. Colarusso against FGCU's Evan Dempsey.

Colarusso is coming off a strong performance against Cornell, where he struck out seven in five innings to secure a 9-1 victory. Dempsey, with a 1-0 record and a pristine 0.00 ERA, has fanned 19 batters over 13 innings.

Boston College recently competed in the Hub City Invitational in Spartanburg, SC, finishing 2-2. They swept Cornell but fell short against Northwestern.
