The third straight training camp practice for Boston College football on Monday morning had a little bit of everything: special teams work, sharp plays through the air, and a defense that kept answering back at the Chamberlin Practice Fields.
It also marked the Eagles’ fifth practice session since the start of August, and the staff put a clear emphasis on kicking game reps. Andy Quinn and Bryce LaFollette both worked on punts, while Luca Lombardo and true freshman Jonathan Hewitt handled field goals.
The one-on-one periods between Boston College’s receivers and secondary brought plenty of juice. Quarterback Mason McKenzie connected with Reed Swanson and Jackson Wade for touchdown throws, and later in the drill Grayson Wilson found Jaedn Skeete for another score. On the final snap of the first competitive team period, second-year cornerback Ashton Cunningham got his hand on a pass at the last second in the end zone to break it up.
The defense kept rolling from there. Senior safety KP Price forced a fumble, and Carter Davis along with Max Tucker each came away with tip-drill interceptions.
Boston College’s offense had the final word before the team’s second off day. McKenzie, the Caledonia, Mich. product, hit Swanson, the Colgate transfer, for a 50-yard touchdown. Then Skeete closed practice with the catch of the day, snaring a one-handed grab toward the back pylon of the end zone on the final play.
After Tuesday off, the Eagles are set to return Wednesday for their sixth training camp practice. Practices are closed to the public.

Boston College is only into the second week of 2026 training camp under Bill OBrien, but one of the early storylines worth watching is Jaedn Skeetes return to form. After missing most of last season because of injury, Skeete is already showing encouraging signs in camp, and the early practices have offered the first real glimpse of what he might bring back to the offense.
The work is still in its infancy, and the staff has yet to make any sweeping judgments with players not in full pads, but Skeete has looked more like a dependable option than a question mark. He has also started to build a clear connection with quarterback Mason McKenzie, which is the sort of camp development that can matter once the calendar moves from August evaluations to actual game planning. Boston Colleges Backfield Could Decide How Far The Offense Goes
Boston College went into the portal looking to remake its backfield, and the Eagles now have a much deeper group for the fall. Former Liberty running back Evan Dickens arrives with a proven resume, while Bo MacCormack III returns as part of a mix that also includes newcomers Nolan Ray and freshman Sedric Addison, giving the offense a few different ways to build around the run game.
The next question is how quickly that group comes together under a new voice. Boston College brought in Mike Hart to lead the running backs, and with several new faces in the room, the competition for touches should be one of the more interesting camp battles on campus.
