ACC Star Faces 21 Years In Prison

Former FSU football player Chuck Kennon faces serious legal trouble as details of his recent arrest and subsequent team dismissal emerge.

Former Florida State defensive back Chuck Kennon was arrested Monday night on three charges, adding another layer to a sudden and messy exit from the Seminoles.

According to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office records, Kennon was booked on charges of aggravated fleeing to elude, false imprisonment, and resisting an officer without violence. The booking record lists two felony charges and one misdemeanor, with the alleged offense date marked Oct. 11.

The sheriff’s office identifies him by his full name, Chauncey Alvoid Kennon. The record says the 18-year-old was arrested at 9:27 p.m.

Monday and booked at 10:10 p.m. All three charges are listed as warrant charges tied to alleged offenses dated Sunday, October, 11.

Aggravated fleeing to elude is listed as a second-degree felony, false imprisonment as a third-degree felony, and resisting an officer without violence as a first-degree misdemeanor. Kennon is being held at Falkenburg Road Jail without bail.

The booking record does not include a narrative of what happened, and the charges remain allegations, not convictions.

Kennon’s arrest came just a day after Florida State confirmed his dismissal from the team. An FSU spokesperson said he was removed for “conduct detrimental to the team.”

A freshman, Kennon was Florida State’s highest-rated signee in the 2026 recruiting class and arrived in Tallahassee in January. His time on the field was brief; he logged one snap against Virginia.

His recruitment was viewed as a significant win for head coach Mike Norvell, with Kennon choosing the Seminoles over several other major programs. Now, that addition to FSU’s secondary is over almost as soon as it began.

While the loss doesn’t reshape a depth chart already thin this season, the legal situation is serious if the charges lead to convictions. Under Florida Statute 775.082, the listed maximum penalties are 15 years for aggravated fleeing to elude, five years for false imprisonment, and one year for resisting an officer without violence.

Pitt Offense Faces A Real Confidence Test At Boston College

Pitt heads into Boston College trying to steady itself after a home loss to North Carolina, and the matchup carries a little more intrigue now that the Panthers have had to settle on a new quarterback plan. Fifth-year quarterback Holden Geriner is set to keep the starting job after Mason Heintschel went down with an ACL injury at Virginia Tech, giving Pitt a different look as it tries to find some traction on offense in a game where both teams bring notable strengths on either side of the ball.

Boston College, meanwhile, is coming out of a bye week and trying to move past the flu outbreak that interrupted its rhythm. The Eagles also have some welcome defensive help on the way, with linebacker Bodie Kahoun back on the depth chart and a chance to play, which adds another layer to a game that already feels important for both teams as they sort out where they really stand. Boston College Already Has A Front Office Shakeup Under Bill O'Brien

Boston Colleges football overhaul under Bill OBrien has already hit an early wrinkle, with general manager Kenyatta Watson and the program mutually parting ways, according to ESPN. Watson, who came to Chestnut Hill from Auburn where he had served as assistant general manager, was hired in December 2025 as part of the effort to strengthen the Eagles front office structure.

The move comes after only one year on the job, leaving another key offseason question around a program that has been trying to build out OBriens vision. Boston College has not disclosed why the separation happened, and for now the focus shifts to who helps fill that void and how quickly the Eagles can stabilize the position. [Read more 🡒]

Luke Murray Just Added A BC Prospect Fans Need To Watch

Boston College has landed a promising new piece for its basketball future in Elijah Paez, a 6-foot-4 wing from Iowa whose stock has climbed sharply over the summer. Luke Murray and the Eagles added a player whose appeal starts on the defensive end, with Paez bringing athleticism, effort and a reputation for doing the kind of dirty work coaches tend to trust early.

His rise gained even more momentum after the departure of his EYBL teammate Marcus Spears Jr., and the interest followed from several major programs along the way. Paez still has room to grow as an outside shooter, but that part of his game only adds to the intrigue for BC, which now has to see how far his development can go once he gets into the program.
