Golden State's Kristaps Porzingis is on a bit of a reunion tour, facing off against familiar faces across the league. As the Warriors gear up to play the Celtics on Wednesday, Porzingis will be meeting yet another former team.
After spending a couple of seasons with Boston, Porzingis was traded to the Hawks during the offseason. His journey didn’t stop there, as Atlanta sent him to Golden State in February, with Buddy Hield and Jonathan Kuminga heading the other way.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr had high praise for his new center, noting, “He’s quite a talent.” Kerr also pointed out the unique nature of their current schedule, saying, “We’re on the Kristaps Porzingis reunion tour.
It’s kind of crazy, we are playing every one of his former teams. The Knicks, Washington, Atlanta, Boston, Dallas.
All five of his teams, we’re seeing on this trip.”
