Jaylen Brown Reacts Online After Ejection Against Spurs

Jaylen Brown's social media response sheds light on his on-court ejection and ongoing frustrations with NBA officiating.

Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown found himself in an unexpected early exit during the game against the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night. Brown was on the court for just 15 minutes before being ejected after a heated exchange over a missed foul call following a shove from Spurs guard Stephon Castle.

As the play continued, Brown's frustration boiled over, leading him to confront referee Tyler Ford. Ford allowed Brown a moment to express his displeasure before issuing a technical foul.

However, Brown's frustration didn’t end there. As he began to walk away, he turned back, prompting his teammates to step in and restrain him.

This led to his ejection by referee Suyash Mehta, not Ford. Brown's discontent with officiating isn't new; he previously voiced concerns about foul calls-or the lack thereof-after an earlier matchup with the Spurs this season.

Following his ejection, Brown took to social media to vent his ongoing frustration with officiating, posting a candid message on his X profile about the lack of calls for him and his team.

This marked only the second ejection in Brown's career, the first being back in 2023 against the New York Knicks due to similar disputes with referees. Now, the Celtics and Brown aim to regroup from Tuesday's tumultuous game as they prepare to face the top-ranked Oklahoma City team, the reigning NBA champions, on Thursday.
