Former Bruins forward Tomas Nosek is taking the next step in his hockey journey overseas.
The unsigned free agent will continue his career in the Czech Extraliga with HC Dynamo Pardubice in 2026-27, the club announced on Friday. It marks a new chapter for a player who has been sitting on the market as July winds down and August approaches, with some veterans still hoping for a PTO invitation when training camps open in September.
Nosek, a bottom-six forward, fit the profile of the kind of player teams often want in that role: dependable, experienced, and useful on the penalty kill. He spent two seasons in Boston, skating for the Bruins in 2021-22 and 2022-23 under Bruce Cassidy and Jim Montgomery.
His first year with the Bruins was a solid one in a checking-line role. Nosek played 75 games, scored three goals, added 17 points, and finished with a minus-9 rating while averaging 13:21 of ice time per night.
He followed that with a much stronger showing during Boston’s record-setting 2022-23 regular season. Nosek put up seven goals and 11 assists, posted a plus-9, and averaged 12:33 across 66 regular-season games. In 14 playoff games over his two seasons in Boston, he collected four assists.
After that season, Nosek moved on in free agency and signed a one-year, $1 million deal with the New Jersey Devils. The next summer, he joined the Florida Panthers and ended up on their Stanley Cup-winning roster that beat the Edmonton Oilers. This past season, he appeared in just 21 games and recorded two goals and four assists.
