Boise State football's "Front Porch of Idaho" helmets have made a splash this season, earning a spot as a finalist for UNISWAG's "Helmet of the Year" award. This accolade celebrates the most striking helmet designs in college football from the 2025 season.
Crafted with care and creativity by artist Armando Villareal, these helmets are more than just protective gear-they're a tribute to Boise's unique beauty. Each helmet showcases iconic images like the Idaho State Capitol, the Boise Foothills, the famous Blue turf, and, of course, a Bronco.
The team sported these eye-catching lids in their game against Appalachian State on September 27, 2025, at Albertsons Stadium. Now, they're up against some tough competition, including Western Kentucky University, the University of Utah, Tulane University, Texas Christian University, Ole Miss, Navy, Baylor, and Air Force. Notably, Villareal's artistic touch also graced the helmets of Tulane and Utah.
Fans have the chance to weigh in on their favorite design by voting through Wednesday, February 25. The anticipation will build until the winner is revealed on March 9.
