Boise State EDGE Virgin-Morgan has landed on the Senior Bowl Top 300, with the organization naming him among the nation’s best draft-eligible prospects as selected by the Senior Bowl scouting department.
The fifth-year Bronco has built his résumé the hard way: production, consistency and a steady climb up the Boise State record book. Virgin-Morgan has led the team in sacks in each of the last two seasons, finishing with 10.0 in 2024 and 6.0 in 2025.
He also owns 31 career tackles for loss, including 15.5 in 2024 and 13.0 in 2025, both team highs. Over 44 career games, he has piled up 120 total tackles, three forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries.
He has also started 33 games, more than any other active Boise State player. That workload has come with recognition: Virgin-Morgan was voted All-Mountain West in both seasons and played a part in the Broncos winning three straight conference titles.
This season, he has shown up on several preseason and award watch lists, including the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Lombardi Award. He was named to the Shriners Children's East-West Bowl 1000 and received Preseason All-America fourth team honors from Athlon Sports. Virgin-Morgan also appeared on the Pac-12 Preseason Impact List and was picked as a Preseason All-Pac-12 first-team selection by Athlon Sports and Phil Steele.
The 2027 Senior Bowl is scheduled for January 30 in Mobile, Alabama, at Hancock Whitney Stadium, where South Alabama will host the game. It will air nationally on NFL Network and is set for a 12:30 p.m.
MT kickoff. Boise State has had 16 players take part in the Senior Bowl since the event began in 1950.

Madsen is on the Maxwell Award, Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, Walter Camp Award, Allstate Wuerffel Trophy, East-West Bowl 1000 and AFCA Good Hands Team Nominee lists.

Boise States Week 1 Threat To Oregon Is Starting To Take Shape
Fall camp is starting to give Boise State a clearer picture of what its Week 1 trip to Oregon could look like, and the offense is at the center of it. The Broncos appear to have a real foundation in the backfield with Dylan Riley and Sire Gaines leading a deep running back group, while quarterback Maddux Madsen has help from a set of new wide receiver additions that could make the passing game more dynamic than it was a year ago.
The bigger question may be how quickly the offensive line settles in around those pieces. Boise State likes what it has at left tackle and right guard, but several other spots are still being sorted out in camp, which gives the unit both upside and a little bit of uncertainty heading into a tough opener. If the Broncos can get that group aligned in time, they may have enough balance to make Oregon work for every stop. [Read more 🡒]
Boise State Brings One Clear Edge Into The New Pac-12
Boise State heads into its first season in the new Pac-12 carrying the kind of momentum that tends to travel well. The Broncos are coming off a 9-5 season, but they also bring a rsum that few programs in the league can match, with three straight Mountain West championships and a College Football Playoff appearance still fresh in the picture. Head coach Spencer Danielson, now in his tenth season with the program, has leaned into that track record while stressing the culture and the recent adjustments that have helped keep Boise State in a familiar position near the top.
For a team entering a new conference, the biggest question is often how quickly it can fit in. Boise State, though, is arriving with one clear edge: experience winning, and a standard that has already been proven over multiple seasons. The Broncos will be measured not just by how they handle a tougher stage, but by whether the same habits that carried them through the Mountain West can keep them in the title conversation again. Boise State May Have Found The Answer To A Growing Backcourt Concern
Boise States backcourt picture had been getting thinner by the day, but the Broncos appear to have added a useful piece for the coming season in Lamar Washington. The former Georgia Tech shooting guard joins the roster with one year of eligibility left, giving the staff another experienced option as it sorts through the lineup and settles on a perimeter rotation that already had to account for some uncertainty.
Washingtons arrival matters because Boise State had been looking for help on the wing, and his addition gives the program a player with a college track record to plug into that discussion. With the projected starting five still taking shape, his fit will be one of the more interesting roster questions to watch as the Broncos move closer to opening night. [Read more 🡒]
