Boise State’s newly renovated Albertsons Stadium is back in business, and the Broncos are already seeing the payoff at the ticket window.
The program has sold 20,593 season tickets for the 2026 season as of Tuesday afternoon, a figure that puts Boise State within striking distance of athletic director Jeramiah Dickey’s target of 23,000. That comes as the Broncos enter Year 1 of the new Pac-12 with a refreshed home venue and six regular-season home games on the schedule.
Albertsons Stadium spent last season operating with a reduced capacity of nearly 4,000 seats because of the $70 million North End Zone Project. The work was finished over the summer, and the stadium now includes about 1,600 premium seats.
Boise State has not announced an official updated capacity for the stadium. Previous estimates put it at 35,000, down from the old official figure of 36,363.
Head coach Spencer Danielson said the finished project hit him hard when he saw it with the team before fall camp.
“I’m blown away by this north end zone,” Boise State head coach Spencer Danielson said during his pre-camp press conference. “I saw it for the first time with our players (just before fall camp) … and walking in with our players, I about started crying. Just blown away by the amount of work that got put in, the amount of foresight from (athletic director Jeramiah Dickey) and everybody.
“There’s not a lot of capital projects sometimes going on because of revenue share, where college football is. (Dickey) saw around the turn to know this is going to push everything forward with this university, we’re going to be able to monetize it in a certain way.
Seeing it done now, it’s unbelievable. It’s a game-changer for our football team, a game-changer for our university.”
The Broncos were strong at home last season, going 6-1 at Albertsons Stadium while winning their third straight Mountain West title. Boise State sold out all six regular-season home games in 2025, though the program’s 14-game sellout streak ended with the Mountain West championship game.
That title game drew 27,152 fans on a frigid Friday night, and Boise State beat UNLV 38-21 to claim the conference crown.
Dickey has made the season-ticket benchmark part of the broader push for more revenue.
“We have to drive more revenue,” Dickey said in a previous statement. “We don’t need what everyone else has, we just need more than we’ve got. And this is going to give us an opportunity to create something that’s sustainable so we can revenue share with our student-athletes and continue to elevate.”
Boise State’s 2026 home slate begins Saturday, Sept. 12 against Memphis, with a 4 p.m. Mountain time kickoff.

Boise State is already looking ahead in the backcourt, and the timing makes sense. The Broncos have lined up an official visit for four-star point guard Jamaal McKnight Jr. from Sept. 19-21, giving the staff a chance to get an early read on a class of 2027 prospect who already has multiple offers and is drawing interest from other programs as well, including UNLV.
For a program facing major roster turnover after the 2026-27 season, the need is easy to see coming.
