Boise State's forward Andrew Meadow has decided to enter the transfer portal, a move he shared with Bronco Nation News on Thursday morning.
Meadow, who has been a cornerstone for the team, started all 32 games this past season, averaging an impressive 12.1 points per game and shooting a career-best 38.6 percent from beyond the arc. His decision to transfer is driven by a desire to pursue his dream of playing professional basketball.
Over his college career, Meadow has been a consistent performer, averaging 9.4 points per game, starting in 68 games, and making 102 appearances over three seasons. His departure marks the second significant exit for Boise State this week, following Drew Fielder's announcement. RJ Keene, another starter with 24 games under his belt, has also declared his intention to transfer.
In a heartfelt message to Bronco Nation, Meadow expressed his gratitude for the support he's received during his time at Boise State. He cherished the opportunity to contribute to the program and thanked the community, coaches, teammates, and friends for the memorable experiences.
Meadow also addressed the buzz surrounding a camera crew that has been following him. He clarified that it’s a project by a high school friend who has been documenting his basketball journey since junior year. According to Meadow, it's simply a personal keepsake to share with his future family.
As Meadow prepares to enter the transfer portal officially, he is expected to attract attention from Power 4 schools, potentially leading to a significant increase in revenue-share opportunities compared to what he earned at Boise State.
