Phoenix Basketball Spotlight: Littlepage-Buggs Shines in All-Star Selection

Baylor's standout, Darianna Littlepage-Buggs, has earned a prestigious spot among 20 players selected for the Lilly Women's All-Star Game and Combine. This exciting event will unfold at Grand Canyon's Global Credit Union Arena on April 3 and 4, coinciding with the Final Four festivities in Phoenix.

Fans can catch the All-Star Combine live on YouTube at 2 p.m. CT on April 3.

The following day, the All-Star Game tips off at 1 p.m. on ESPN2. Intersport will soon reveal the full game rosters, placing Littlepage-Buggs on either Team Lieberman, coached by the legendary Nancy Lieberman, or Team Miller, led by the iconic Cheryl Miller.

Adding to the star-studded sidelines, Team Miller will feature Alicia Berber, WNBA All-Star Marina Mabrey, and Hall of Famer Ann Meyers Drysdale as assistant coaches. Meanwhile, Stacey Lovelace and WNBA champion Kahleah Copper will assist Team Lieberman.

Littlepage-Buggs has left an indelible mark on Baylor's record books. An All-Big 12 Second Team honoree and All-Defensive Team selection, she ranks No. 4 in career rebounds and holds top ten spots in several other categories, including career double-doubles and field goal percentage.

Her prowess on the boards also places her at No. 8 in Big 12 history for career rebounds. Impressively, she earned All-Big 12 honors every season during her collegiate career.

This season, Littlepage-Buggs averaged a double-double with 10.6 points and 10.1 rebounds per game, marking her as the sole Big 12 player to achieve this feat for two consecutive years. She reached her 1,000th career rebound against Colorado, joining an elite group of nine Baylor players to hit this milestone.

Hailing from Oklahoma City, Littlepage-Buggs led the Bears in rebounding 25 times, with 19 games in double figures and 23 games scoring double-digit points. Her standout performances include a 26-point game against Le Moyne and a 20-rebound effort in a top-10 road victory at Iowa State.

The previous year saw top college seniors, including Baylor's Aaronette Vonleh, gather in Tampa for the Women's College All-Star Game and Combine. The event featured future WNBA stars and celebrated collegiate talent.
