Baylor's Bella Fontleroy Set for All-Star Spotlight in Phoenix

In the heart of Phoenix, Baylor's own Bella Fontleroy is gearing up to showcase her skills on a grand stage. She's been selected as one of the 20 elite players for the Lilly Women's All-Star Game and Combine, happening at Grand Canyon's Global Credit Union Arena on April 3 and 4. This event is a highlight of the Final Four festivities, and Fontleroy will join her teammate Darianna Littlepage-Buggs in representing Baylor.

Kicking off the action, the All-Star Combine starts at 2 p.m. CT on April 3 and will be available for fans to stream live on YouTube.

The excitement continues the next day with the All-Star Game tipping off at 1 p.m. on ESPN2. Fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the full rosters, which will see Fontleroy playing for either Team Lieberman, led by the legendary Nancy Lieberman, or Team Miller, under the guidance of Cheryl Miller.

The sidelines will be packed with talent, featuring coaching support from the likes of Alicia Berber, WNBA All-Star Marina Mabrey, and Hall of Famer Ann Meyers Drysdale for Team Miller. Meanwhile, Stacey Lovelace and WNBA champion Kahleah Copper will assist Team Lieberman.

Fontleroy's impressive career at Baylor saw her ranking fourth in program history for made 3-pointers, trailing only behind stars like Sarah Andrews and Odyssey Sims. A Missouri native, Fontleroy has been a defensive powerhouse, earning a spot on the Big 12 All-Defensive Team for two consecutive years. Her academic achievements are just as stellar, with Academic All-Big 12 First Team honors in 2024 and 2025.

This season, Fontleroy hit double figures 11 times, including a standout double-double performance against Houston with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Known as the "head of the defensive snake," she racked up 50 steals and 43 blocks, cementing her status as a defensive force.

Last April, the Women's College All-Star Game in Tampa featured top senior talents, including Baylor's Aaronette Vonleh, drawing a sold-out crowd. The event boasted four All-Americans and six WNBA draft picks, highlighting the level of competition Fontleroy will be part of.
