Baylor Unveils Waco Rush Pass To Bring More Locals Into The Stands

Baylor Athletics introduces a new initiative to foster local sports enthusiasm through the exclusive Waco Rush Pass, offering special ticket opportunities to Waco residents.

Baylor Athletics is rolling out a new ticket program aimed squarely at Waco residents, giving local fans year-round access to select offers for home events.

The new Waco Rush Pass is open beginning today, with registration available at BaylorBears.com/WacoRush. Residents can sign up by filling out the online form, and once they’re in, they’ll be notified whenever exclusive ticket offers become available during the year. Baylor also plans to promote the pass through its social media channels, local business partnerships and community outreach efforts.

The program is limited to people with a Waco, Texas mailing address, and offers are not available to surrounding communities at this time.

"We're proud to call Waco our hometown, and creating opportunities for our neighbors to experience Baylor Athletics is a priority," said Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Doug McNamee. "The Waco Rush Pass is a simple way to make Baylor game days more accessible and affordable for our local community. Whether you've been cheering on the Bears for decades or are attending your first game, we want everyone who calls Waco home to feel welcomed, valued and part of the family that makes Baylor Athletics so special."

Passholders will be able to get discounted tickets for select football, men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball and track & field events. Baylor said the participating games and meets will depend on ticket availability, and the school may announce them as early as one week before competition or, in some cases, on game day.

The launch also ties into Baylor football’s home opener against Prairie View A&M on 254 Night, which has been designated a Waco Rush Pass game. Central National Bank, the presenting sponsor of 254 Night, will give two free tickets to the first 2,500 eligible Waco residents who register for the pass by Aug.

  1. Baylor said additional redemption details will be sent directly to eligible participants in August.

Former Baylor Experiment Just Took Another Unexpected Turn

James Nnaji has landed again, this time at George Mason, after a winding college path that never quite looked settled. The 21-year-old center brings three years of eligibility to the Atlantic 10, which at least gives him a fresh runway after a stint at Baylor that never turned into the kind of role the Bears hoped for.

For Baylor, Nnajis exit is another reminder of how unusual that experiment became. He arrived with a professional rsum from Europe and NBA draft baggage, then struggled to carve out consistent minutes in Waco before moving on, and now the focus shifts to what his next stop can offer after a college career that has been as turbulent as it has been brief. Baylor Just Made Another Move To Address A Growing Linebacker Need

Baylor keeps working to shore up the middle of its defense, and the latest addition comes from Alabama linebacker Trenton McCorvey, a 2027 prospect whose recruiting stock has steadily picked up across the Southeast. The three-star defender has drawn Power Four attention and arrives with the kind of profile schools chase when theyre trying to build depth before a need becomes an emergency.

McCorveys commitment also fits a bigger roster picture for the Bears, who have been trying to stabilize a position group that has taken some hits recently. With another linebacker now in the 2027 fold alongside Bryson Brown, Baylor has given itself a healthier early foundation at a spot where the numbers matter as much as the talent, and the next question is how much momentum the staff can keep building there.
