Baylor soccer is back at Betty Lou Mays Field on Sunday night, and the home opener comes with a familiar opponent across the pitch: Texas A&M.
The Bears and Aggies meet at 7:30 p.m. in Waco for Baylor’s first home match of the 2026 season. It’s a Green Out, with fans encouraged to pack the stands in Baylor green.
The first 200 in attendance will get a free green Baylor soccer T-shirt, and admission is free. The match will also be streamed on ESPN+.
This is the fourth straight year the programs have lined up against each other, and Baylor has held its own in that run, going 1-0-2. In the all-time series, though, the Bears still trail 5-14-4.
Texas A&M arrives after opening with a 2-1 win over Rice in Houston. Trinity Buchanan powered that victory with a brace, scoring in the 19th and 80th minutes. The Aggies were outshot 19-17, and both sides finished with eight shots on goal.
Baylor, meanwhile, already has a statement win on its resume. The Bears went into Fayetteville and knocked off No. 10 Arkansas in their season opener, taking a 1-0 lead into halftime before exploding for three goals in an 11-minute stretch to put the game away.
Lauren Omholt got Baylor’s first goal of the season for the second year in a row. Callie Conrad, Olivia Hess and newcomer Noelle Sather also scored.
Azul Alvarez handled all 90 minutes in goal and stopped two shots as Baylor finished with a 15-7 edge in total shots and a 10-3 advantage in shots on goal.
