Baylor Just Gave Bears Fans A New Reason To Show Up

Baylor Athletics introduces an exciting new loyalty program, Baylor Bears Perks, set to enhance the fan experience with unique rewards and engagement opportunities starting September 14.

Baylor Athletics is giving fans a new way to cash in on the habits they already have.

On Wednesday, the school announced the upcoming launch of Baylor Bears Perks, a loyalty program built with Uptop, a Rain company, that will let Baylor supporters collect points through everyday interaction with the program. That includes showing up to games, buying concessions and shopping with participating Baylor Athletics partners such as Raising Cane's, Avo Apparel and more.

The program is being rolled out through Baylor Sports Properties, Baylor Athletics' exclusive multimedia rights holder and a property of Playfly Sports. Baylor said the system uses Uptop's technology and infrastructure built on Avalanche to create what it described as a seamless rewards experience.

Starting Sept. 14, Baylor students, alumni and fans will be able to sign up at BaylorBearsPerks.com or through the official Baylor Athletics mobile app. Once registered, fans can earn points by attending Baylor Athletics events, engaging with the Bears and making purchases at participating partners using a linked payment card.

"Baylor fans bring an incredible level of passion and loyalty to our teams," Associate AD for Marketing and Fan Experience Aaron Fordyce said. "Baylor Bears Perks gives us another way to recognize that passion and give something back to our fans. We want to create more ways for fans to earn perks, unlock unique experiences and get even more out of being a Baylor Bear."

Those points can later be used for Baylor tickets, exclusive experiences, memorabilia and other rewards.

Scott Yacyshyn, Baylor Sports Properties General Manager, said the partnership is designed to tighten the connection between the school, its corporate partners and the fan base.

"We're excited to partner with Uptop to launch Baylor Bears Perks and create new ways for Baylor fans to engage with the Bears and our corporate partners," Baylor Sports Properties General Manager Scott Yacyshyn said. "Uptop's platform gives us the opportunity to bring our partners even closer to the Baylor fan experience while giving fans more ways to unlock perks through their day-to-day fandom."

Baylor also said the program is only getting started. Future phases are expected to include a co-branded prepaid card that would give fans more chances to earn points and support Baylor Athletics.

Uptop’s Head of Partnerships Zac Sebo said the idea is to reward the kinds of routine moments that already define fandom.

"Whether attending a game at McLane Stadium, purchasing concessions at Foster Pavilion or shopping with a participating Baylor partner, Baylor fans deserve an easy way to earn rewards for their loyalty," Uptop's Head of Partnerships Zac Sebo said. "Baylor Bears Perks turns their everyday support of the Bears into points and experiences that deepen their connection to Baylor."

Fans can begin registering for Baylor Bears Perks on Monday, Sept. 14 at BaylorBearsPerks.com.

Baylors Home Opener Is Bringing Back A Feeling Fans Missed

Baylors first home game of the season against Prairie View A&M is set up as more than just an early reset in the schedule. The school is leaning into the occasion with the 254 game, a nod to the Central Texas area code, and players Reggie Bush, Nate Kibble and Hawkins Polley all sounded energized during media availability about the chance to play in front of the home crowd and reconnect with the community that surrounds the program.

The off-field touches are part of the appeal, too. Athletics director Doug McNamee has rolled out fan-friendly concession pricing, including a 254 Classics Menu and the 1845 Bear Family Pack, while the Bear Bell will return as a permanent fixture at McLane Stadium. After each touchdown, Bruiser and Marigold will ring it, giving fans another piece of game-day pageantry to welcome back as Baylor tries to make the opener feel like something familiar again. Baylor Is Trying To Make McLane Stadium A Bigger Game-Day Draw

Baylor is taking a fresh approach to the McLane Stadium experience, rolling out a slate of new fan offerings for the 2026 football home opener and beyond. The university announced expanded tailgating areas, new concessions, upgraded stadium lighting and live concerts, along with the return of the Bear Bell and a wider mix of fan engagement activities designed to make game day feel bigger from the moment people arrive.

The changes also reach beyond the building itself, with stroller parking and exclusive ticket opportunities for Waco residents among the additions aimed at making attendance more convenient and more local-friendly. It is a clear sign Baylor wants McLane to be more than just the site of football Saturdays, and the details suggest the school is trying to build a fuller event around the game without losing the traditions that already give the stadium its identity. Sam Leavitt Faces An Early Big 12 Test Arizona State Fans Should Track

Week 1 did not offer much clarity on the Big 12 quarterback pecking order, mostly because so many of the leagues passers opened against Group of Six or FCS defenses. A few did get real tests right away, including Floridas DJ Lagway and UCFs Barnett, but for the most part the first weekend was about sorting through box scores, identifying who looked comfortable and who still has work to do before the schedule gets tougher.

Sam Leavitt is next in that line of quarterbacks to watch, with Arizona State set for an early Big 12 barometer that should tell a lot more than last week did. The matchup gives fans a chance to see how he handles a stronger defense after a relatively soft opening slate around the conference, and it is part of a Week 2 schedule that starts separating the pretenders from the passers who are ready for the leagues tougher stretch.
