Top-ranked Baylor acrobatics & tumbling team dazzled on Senior Night with a decisive victory over Duquesne, showcasing their unrivaled skill and extending their winning streak.

In front of an enthusiastic crowd at the Ferrell Center, the top-ranked Baylor acrobatics & tumbling team showcased their dominance with a resounding victory over No. 9 Duquesne, posting a score of 278.300 to Duquesne's 255.030. This win extends Baylor's impressive streak to 58 consecutive victories, underscoring their position as a powerhouse in the sport.

Coach Felecia Mulkey praised her team's calm and consistent performance, highlighting how their impact is felt not just on the scoreboard but in their presence and execution. This victory also marked Baylor's second consecutive triumph over Duquesne, adding another chapter to their ongoing success story.

The meet kicked off with the Compulsory event, where both teams executed their skills with precision. Baylor edged out Duquesne in three of the four heats, taking an early lead with a score of 38.05 to 35.85. The Bears' ability to perform under pressure was evident as they delivered high scores across the board.

In the Acro event, Baylor continued to build on their lead. Duquesne put up a solid performance, but Baylor's athletes, including standout performances from Payton Washington and Leavy McDonald, secured a 29.55 to 27.50 advantage. By the end of this event, Baylor had extended their lead to 67.60 to 63.35.

The Pyramid event saw Baylor debut a new formation, with Sofia Criado at the top, supported by Leavy McDonald, Becca Moore, and D'ahni Branch. This innovative structure earned them a score of 29.95, further widening the gap to 97.55 to 92.50.

As the meet progressed into the Toss event, Baylor's precision and synchronization shone through. They outscored Duquesne in each heat, culminating in a 29.05 to 25.65 score for the event. With a total score of 126.30 to 118.15, Baylor maintained a commanding lead.

In the Tumbling event, Baylor's athletes continued to impress. Emily Bott and Lawrence Owens led the charge, helping their team to a 56.95 score compared to Duquesne's 51.30. Heading into the final event, Baylor held a 183.25 to 169.45 advantage.

The Team event was the final showcase of Baylor's all-around excellence. They capped off the meet with a score of 95.05, sealing their victory with a total of 278.300 to Duquesne's 255.030.
