Ravens Week Just Got More Interesting With Browns Trade Buzz

As the Browns gear up for a pivotal showdown with the Ravens, a strategic trade for Eagles guard Landon Dickerson could redefine their offensive line and playoff aspirations.

After dropping their latest game to the New York Jets, the Cleveland Browns sit at 3-2 and now turn their attention to a major Week 6 test against the Baltimore Ravens.

Even with the loss, Cleveland is still in a decent position this early in the season. The bigger question now is how the Browns respond, and whether they enter the trade market with an eye on helping the offensive line.

One name now linked to Cleveland is Philadelphia Eagles guard Landon Dickerson. In a recent Bleacher Report piece, Kristopher Knox listed the Browns among the top possible landing spots for the veteran lineman.

"Dickerson has been out since he tried to play through a knee injury in Week 1 but landed on injured reserve. He's one of the league's top interior linemen when healthy, and the Eagles certainly won't part with him for proverbial pennies.

However, if the buzz indicates that Dickerson could be available, guard-needy teams should be placing calls," Knox wrote. "Potential Suitors: Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers."

There is at least a path for Philadelphia to consider moving him. The Eagles are 2-3 and have lost three straight, and if that slide continues, Dickerson could become a trade candidate.

For Cleveland, the fit is obvious on paper. Dickerson would bring a three-time Pro Bowl guard to a team trying to stay in the playoff race, which is why the Browns would make sense as a serious suitor if he becomes available.

At 6-foot-6, Dickerson would give Cleveland another major piece up front, and it will be worth watching whether the Browns make a run at him if the Eagles decide to listen.

Ravens Finally Get A Real Test For Their Big Pass Rush Bet

Trey Hendricksons return gives Baltimores pass rush a chance to prove it can be more than just a weekly talking point. After missing the past two games with a finger injury, Hendrickson is expected back as the Ravens prepare for a Cleveland offense that has been on shaky footing up front and has put its quarterback under plenty of pressure already this season.

The Browns have been sliding into a matchup that could tell the Ravens a lot about where their edge rush really stands. Deshaun Watson has absorbed a heavy workload of hits behind that line, and Baltimore will be watching closely to see whether Hendrickson can immediately add force to a front that has been built to change games at the line of scrimmage. Derrick Henry Could Be Set Up For A Huge Ravens Breakout

A familiar division matchup suddenly looks a little softer up front for Baltimore, with Cleveland entering Week 6 carrying real uncertainty on three defensive players who could shape the way the game is played. Mason Graham, Carson Schwesinger and Derek Barnett are all listed as questionable after each was limited to just one practice this week, and that kind of availability cloud can matter a lot when a defense is trying to hold up against a physical Ravens offense.

For Derrick Henry and Baltimores running game, the potential ripple effect is easy to see. Graham and Schwesinger would matter especially inside, while Barnetts status impacts the edge, and any combination of those absences could make life more comfortable for the Ravens as they try to lean on the ground game and control the tempo. Ravens Could Get An Important Offensive Boost At The Right Time

Ja'Kobi Lane is lining up to give the Ravens a timely lift after a full week of practice following wrist surgery, a promising sign for a Baltimore offense that could use another healthy target. The rookie receiver was activated from injured reserve earlier this week after missing four games, and his return would add a fresh option at a moment when the Ravens are trying to keep things moving through a bruised lineup.

The timing matters even more with the Browns coming to town and Baltimore already preparing to play without Lamar Jackson and center Cam Jurgens. With those absences already on the ledger, any extra help at receiver carries added value, and Lanes availability gives the Ravens at least one more piece to work with as they sort through the offense for Sunday.
