Ravens Target Bills Coach Ronald Curry for Key Role Under New OC

As new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle shapes his Ravens staff, a familiar face from Sean Paytons coaching tree may be on the way to Baltimore.

The Ravens have made their first big move of the offseason, hiring Declan Doyle as their new offensive coordinator. Now, Doyle is wasting no time shaping his staff-and one of his first targets is a familiar face: Bills quarterbacks coach Ronald Curry.

Curry is being considered for the same role in Baltimore, which is currently held by Tee Martin. While nothing is official yet, the connection between Doyle and Curry runs deep, and it’s not hard to see why this reunion might be on the table.

Let’s start with Curry’s current role in Buffalo. He joined the Bills in 2024, stepping into a quarterback room already led by Josh Allen, who was firmly established as one of the league’s elite signal-callers.

So while Curry didn’t build Allen from the ground up, he was part of a staff that helped Allen put together an MVP season in 2024 and another strong campaign in 2025. That’s not nothing-coaching at that level, with that kind of pressure and expectation, is valuable experience.

But if you really want to understand why Curry is on Doyle’s radar, you have to go back to their time together in New Orleans. That’s where the roots of this potential hire start to make sense.

Curry was with the Saints for several seasons, climbing the ranks from offensive assistant to wide receivers coach, quarterbacks coach, and eventually passing game coordinator. Doyle, during his four-year stint in New Orleans, was an offensive assistant-technically working under Curry at times. Both were part of Sean Payton’s staff, learning under one of the most respected offensive minds in the game.

That shared background matters. It means Curry and Doyle speak the same football language.

They’ve seen how a high-level offense is built from the inside out, and they’ve done it together. That kind of continuity is rare and valuable, especially for a team like Baltimore that’s looking to take the next step offensively.

So while Curry’s recent work in Buffalo might get the headlines, it’s his history with Doyle-and the offensive foundation they helped build in New Orleans-that could make him a strong fit for the Ravens. If this move happens, it wouldn’t just be about filling a position. It would be about bringing in someone who understands Doyle’s vision and can help implement it from day one.
