Adisa Isaac’s path with the Ravens has been bumpy from the start, and now the third-round pick is headed into training camp with another hurdle in front of him.
Baltimore drafted the outside linebacker in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft with real optimism after his work at Penn State suggested he could help as both a run stopper and a pass rusher. But that promise has been hard to evaluate because injuries have dominated his early career.
Isaac has appeared in only four games so far, and all of them came during his rookie year while he was dealing with a hamstring injury. He then missed all of last season because of an elbow injury, and that same issue has landed him on the physically-unable-to-perform list before camp opens.
The Ravens placed six players on the PUP list, including DL Nnamdi Madubuike (neck), DL Travis Jones, DL John Jenkins, ILB Teddye Buchanan (knee), OLB Adisa Isaac (elbow), and CB Bilhal Kone (knee). Players can be removed from the list at any time, and camp begins Wednesday.
For Isaac, the timing is rough. Missing the start of camp means he loses a valuable chance to show the new staff what he can do, and that matters for a player still trying to establish himself. At some point, durability becomes part of the conversation, especially when a roster spot is on the line.
That pressure is only sharper because Baltimore added more competition this offseason. The Ravens signed Trey Hendrickson and drafted Zion Young to bolster the pass rush, Mike Green is expected to have a bigger role in year two, and Tavius Robinson is still in the mix.
There’s also the possibility that Trenton Simpson is used more as a pass rusher in 2026. If another camp standout emerges, the squeeze on Isaac only gets tighter.
The good news for Isaac is that he’s still just 24 and has upside. The bad news is that he needs to get on the field to show it, and the PUP designation is the last thing he needed.
Best case, he works his way back and holds onto a depth role at outside linebacker. Worst case, the Ravens decide to move on.
For now, his health is one of the quieter storylines worth watching as camp unfolds. Players can come off the PUP list at any point, but whether Isaac gets enough time to prove himself is another question entirely.

Ravens Just Got A Huge Nnamdi Madubuike Health Update
The Ravens opened camp with a mixed injury picture, placing six players on the active physically unable to perform list, but the biggest name on it was Nnamdi Madubuike. Baltimore also listed Travis Jones, John Jenkins, Teddye Buchanan, Adisa Isaac and Bilhal Kone, a reminder that the roster is still working through a range of offseason recoveries as the team starts to sort out its front and depth chart.
Madubuikes situation is the one that matters most to Baltimores defense, and the latest update is encouraging enough to keep the door open for a quick return to practice. The veteran defensive tackle has already been cleared by independent doctors to get back on the field, and the next step is getting him through the final ramp-up period before the Ravens can see where he stands in live work. Justice Hill Enters Ravens Camp With More To Prove Than Ever
Justice Hill heads into Ravens training camp with a familiar kind of pressure, only this time it feels sharper. He is coming off a modest season and still has to remind everyone why he matters in Baltimores backfield, even after the team added rookie Adam Randall in the draft and shifted some attention elsewhere. Hill remains the primary backup, and his value has never been just about carries. The Ravens have long leaned on his ability to help in the passing game, whether that means catching the ball out of the backfield or giving the quarterback a cleaner pocket.
Baltimores late-season offense offered a clear reminder of what Hill brings when he is on the field. When he was unavailable down the stretch, the Ravens had trouble replacing his pass-catching and pass-blocking on passing downs, and the line issues only made that absence loom larger. That is the backdrop for camp now: Hill is not just trying to hold onto a roster role, he is trying to reassert himself as one of the more important complementary pieces on an offense that felt the loss when he was gone.
