Baltimore’s offensive line took another hit in Week 7, and this one landed in the middle of a drive that was already churning through the Bengals.
Rookie guard Vega Ioane left the game with a knee injury during Baltimore’s third possession, then was listed as questionable to return. Emery Jones Jr. stepped in for him after Ioane got up slowly earlier in the drive. The departure came after the third-down completion to Zay Flowers that covered 20 yards.
Could be wrong, but per tracking data, this is Vega Ioane's most recent snap.

Without Ioane, the Ravens still found some rhythm moving the ball, but the trouble that has followed them in short-yardage situations showed up again when it mattered most. Baltimore put together an 18-play march that burned 11 minutes, yet inside the red zone the push vanished. Derrick Henry was stopped for 0 yards on consecutive inside runs, and a false start on fourth down pushed the offense into a Tyler Loop field goal.
Even with Ioane on the field, those issues have lingered. But this particular starting group - with Ioane, Cam Jurgens and John Simpson - had been doing enough to stabilize things.
That’s what makes the injury so damaging. Ioane has been the standout up front, good enough to enter the Offensive Rookie of the Year conversation. If the knee issue is serious, it would be a brutal blow to a Baltimore offense already fighting through attrition.
The line situation has turned into a weekly survival exercise. Danny Pinter, Ethan Pocic and Jovaughn Gwyn are all out long term, while Andrew Vorhees has also missed time with a foot issue. Ioane would be the latest addition to that list.
By Sunday, Baltimore was already using its fifth different offensive line combination of the season, and this was only the team’s seventh game in 2026. Eric DeCosta made clear efforts to shore up the unit, but the injuries keep preventing it from settling in.
For now, the Ravens are waiting on Ioane, because they need him back. He has been their best offensive lineman, and replacing him - especially with Jones, who has struggled in 2026 - is no easy fix.

Ravens Suddenly Have Very Little Room For Error In The AFC
A rough stretch has pushed Baltimore into an uncomfortable spot in the AFC playoff race, with recent results around the conference leaving the Ravens staring up from outside the current bracket. After Week 7, the standings have tightened enough that every slip now matters a little more, and the margin the Ravens once had to work with has thinned fast.
The immediate concern is getting Lamar Jackson back in time for a tough upcoming run. With Buffalo and Jacksonville next on the schedule, Baltimore does not have much breathing room to absorb another setback, and the way the AFC has lined up means the Ravens may need to start stacking wins quickly just to keep pace. Ravens Have A Bigger Problem Than Their Record Right Now
The Ravens have spent most of this season fighting the same frustrating battle, and it has little to do with who is under center. After John Harbaugh was fired earlier this year and Jesse Minter took over as head coach, Baltimore has watched three separate games slip away after building double-digit leads, a pattern that has turned routine wins into painful what-ifs and left the team searching for answers beyond the standings.
Lamar Jacksons absence has been part of the backdrop, with the quarterback missing the last three games while Baltimore tried to steady itself. He has since resumed practicing, which at least gives the Ravens a path toward getting their offense back in place, but the bigger issue remains how a team that keeps getting in front keeps letting those games get away. Ravens Pro Bowler Is Taking Heat After Costly Bengals Matchup
Marlon Humphrey found himself in the spotlight after Baltimores latest meeting with Cincinnati, and not in the way a Pro Bowler usually wants. The Ravens cornerbacks comments about JaMarr Chase drew attention before the game even settled in, with Humphrey making it clear he would rather not see that matchup quite so often.
Chase then did his part in the Bengals win, catching five passes for 62 yards and a touchdown while Baltimores defense struggled to slow the game down. Humphrey finished with three tackles and a pass defended, and the criticism online came quickly after the final whistle, with fans using the result to question how the veteran cornerback handled the matchup.
