OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Ravens’ first official injury report of the 2026 season gave a clearer picture of where several key players stand heading into Sunday’s opener in Indianapolis.
Baltimore had all 53 players on the field for Wednesday’s practice, but four were listed as limited: wide receivers Zay Flowers and Devontez Walker, defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike, and inside linebacker Teddye Buchanan.
Flowers’ designation confirmed that he’s been managing a hamstring strain that surfaced during the Ravens’ joint practices with Minnesota last month. The two-time Pro Bowl receiver missed several days, then got back on the field last week. Any questions about whether he’d be ready for Week 1 seemed to disappear when Flowers said Wednesday afternoon in the locker room that he was feeling “better than ever.”
Madubuike’s situation remains the most closely watched. He kept building his workload in practice Wednesday and spent a long stretch working the sled during the portion of the session open to reporters. The Ravens have not ruled out the two-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman for Sunday, but after a summer marked by a very cautious return from last year’s career-threatening neck injury and the surgery he had this spring, the expectation is that he likely won’t play against the Colts.
“I have seen a ton. Obviously, that decision when ‘Beeks’ is out there is between him and all the powers that be upstairs.
I am going to leave them to that,” defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver said. “What I can say is that what I have seen out of Beeks [is] he’s looked fantastic.
I think when he does get out there, the fans as well as us as coaches are going to be excited.”
Buchanan is also still working his way back after tearing an ACL last December.
Walker returned to practice Wednesday after sitting out Tuesday’s session.
Indianapolis had two starters listed as limited, with the most notable being wide receiver Alec Pierce. Pierce had offseason surgery on his heel and ankle, and there’s been some concern about how sharp he’ll look right away.
Safety A.J. Haulcy was also limited with an ankle issue.
