Raiders GM Breaks Silence On Failed Crosby Trade

Raiders GM John Spytek skillfully navigates the aftermath of a failed Maxx Crosby trade, reaffirming the star player's role and future with the team.

Maxx Crosby's journey with the Las Vegas Raiders takes another turn as he stays put after a trade with the Baltimore Ravens fell through due to concerns over his physical. Raiders GM John Spytek, in a candid chat with JT The Brick, expressed enthusiasm about having Crosby back in the fold.

Spytek spoke warmly about the 28-year-old edge rusher, highlighting their strong relationship and Crosby's potential to rebound after rehabbing his knee. “My relationship with Maxx since I've gotten here has been great,” Spytek shared.

“Things have a way of working out the way they're supposed to. We welcome him like he never left - because he really never did.”

The trade that wasn't stirred quite a buzz, involving a high-profile swap that would have sent Crosby to Baltimore in exchange for two first-round picks. However, it seems the Raiders are more than content to keep Crosby on their roster.

For now, Crosby remains in Las Vegas, and while trade possibilities linger, the bond between him and the Raiders seems solid. The five-time Pro Bowler is coming off a stellar season, boasting 73 tackles, 10 sacks, two forced fumbles, and his first career interception. Impressively, this marks the fourth time in his seven-year NFL career that Crosby has achieved double-digit sacks.

As the offseason unfolds, Raiders fans can breathe a little easier knowing Crosby's talents are still part of their defensive arsenal.
