Maxx Crosby Stuns Ravens With Bold Message After Trade Collapse

Maxx Crosby shares a pointed take on his commitment to the Raiders following the collapse of a trade with the Ravens.

Maxx Crosby took to his podcast, "The Rush With Maxx Crosby," to break down the recent trade drama involving the Baltimore Ravens. It was supposed to be a blockbuster move, sending him from the Las Vegas Raiders to the Ravens for two first-round picks. But things didn’t go as planned.

Crosby detailed how he visited the Ravens' facility, ready to finalize the trade, only to be left hanging. Ravens GM Eric DeCosta dodged him all day before finally pulling the plug, citing concerns about Crosby's knee health.

At 28, Crosby didn’t hold back his feelings about both teams during the episode. But when Pittsburgh Steelers’ All-Pro defensive tackle Cameron Heyward reached out, Crosby had a clear message.

Heyward wanted Crosby to look out for his brother, Connor, who just signed with the Raiders. Crosby’s response was as direct as it gets: “I’m staying with the Raiders.”

The Raiders had announced the trade’s collapse on March 10. Reports confirmed Crosby’s account that Baltimore backed out after medical evaluations. Crosby took to social media, expressing his commitment to the Raiders with a fiery post.

While technically, a future trade isn’t off the table, insiders like Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer suggest Crosby and the Raiders are moving forward together. Breer noted that the Raiders weren’t about to let Crosby go without a hefty offer, which seems unlikely to come.

Drafted in the fourth round in 2019, Crosby has become a powerhouse on the field. His stats speak volumes: 69.5 sacks, 439 tackles, and 164 QB hits over 110 games. Last season, he notched 10 sacks in 15 games before being sidelined for surgery on a torn meniscus.

Crosby’s agent, CJ LaBoy, reassured fans that his recovery is on track, if not ahead of schedule. Dr. Neal ElAttrache, Crosby’s surgeon, supports this optimistic outlook.

So, it seems Crosby’s next chapter will be written in silver and black, not black and purple. The Raiders’ faithful can expect him to continue being the game-changer he’s proven to be.
