The Ravens are still in the thick of their head coaching search, and that uncertainty is starting to ripple through the rest of the staff. With no clear direction at the top, some of Baltimore’s assistants are understandably exploring their options-and Tampa Bay is paying close attention.
The Buccaneers have zeroed in on two Ravens coaches to potentially fill their coordinator vacancies. Todd Monken, Baltimore’s offensive coordinator for the past three seasons, has interviewed for Tampa Bay’s OC position. Anthony Levine, a longtime Raven turned coach, is also in the mix-he's spoken with the Bucs about their special teams coordinator role.
Monken’s situation is particularly interesting. While nothing official has come out of Baltimore regarding his future, all signs point to him moving on.
And if John Harbaugh ends up taking the head coaching job with the Giants, Monken could be following him to New York instead of heading back to Tampa Bay-where he previously served as offensive coordinator from 2016 to 2018. That familiarity with the Bucs' organization made a reunion seem like a natural fit, but the coaching carousel might be pulling him in a different direction.
Then there’s Levine, who’s built a strong post-playing career on the sidelines. A former safety and special teams standout, Levine spent 10 years making his mark on the field in Baltimore.
After retiring, he quickly transitioned into coaching, staying with the Ravens before taking a two-year stint in Tennessee. He returned to Baltimore in 2025, and now he’s weighing his next step.
Like Monken, Levine has ties to Harbaugh and could follow him depending on how the coaching dominoes fall-but his interview with Tampa Bay suggests he’s keeping his options open.
For the Ravens, this is a pivotal moment. The longer the head coaching vacancy remains unresolved, the more likely it is that key pieces of the current staff will start to peel away. And for teams like the Buccaneers, who are looking to solidify their own coaching ranks, Baltimore’s limbo presents an opportunity.
