Browns Stun Fans by Signing Players from Bills and Ravens Overnight

The Cleveland Browns bolster their lineup by securing defensive power from the Bills and offensive versatility from the Ravens in one strategic night of signings.

The Cleveland Browns made some strategic moves on Tuesday night, addressing both their defensive and offensive needs with a couple of savvy free-agent signings. They brought in defensive end A.J. Epenesa from the Buffalo Bills and wide receiver Tylan Wallace from the Baltimore Ravens, aiming to bolster their roster in key areas.

Starting with Epenesa, this former second-round pick from Iowa was snagged by the Bills in the 2020 NFL Draft at the 54th overall spot. Over six seasons in Buffalo, he played 91 games and racked up a solid 24 sacks.

While 2025 was a quieter year for him with just 2.5 sacks over 16 games, his previous seasons from 2022 to 2024 were impressive, consistently delivering 6.5, 6.5, and 6.0 sacks respectively. If Epenesa can replicate those numbers in Cleveland, this signing could prove to be a masterstroke for the Browns.

On the offensive side, Tylan Wallace joins the Browns after being drafted by the Ravens in the fourth round back in 2021. During his time in Baltimore, Wallace appeared in 68 games, catching 22 passes for 305 yards and scoring two touchdowns.

His standout year was 2024, where he notched 11 catches for 193 yards and a touchdown. Beyond his receiving skills, Wallace brings versatility to the Browns with his contributions on special teams, recording 23 tackles, including eight in 2025.

He’s also experienced in returning kickoffs and punts, adding another layer to his game.

Both Epenesa and Wallace are poised to play significant roles for the Browns in 2026, making these signings a smart move more than a week into free agency. By filling these gaps, Cleveland is setting itself up for a competitive season ahead.
